Can't Download Update/Can't Play Co-op/Can't Play User Maps

I'm at my wit's end with this uplay launcher! I've spent hours trying to get things working again. It seems like my connection to the Ubi server is broken somehow. I played one user-created map a couple of weeks ago and it was working fine. Then, something happened to my connection because I can't download the recent FC4 update, I can't play co-op, I can't play user maps -- basically I can't play in online mode. Even my uplay stats log isn't updating. I know the problem is from sometime after March 9th because that's the last time uplay says I played FC4, but I've been playing alot since then although offline. Weird thing is, it still logs into uplay and goes into online mode just fine. No "login failed" error message or anything, but it just seems to be missing all the online features. I tried all the recommended fixes: run as admin, disable anti-virus/firewall during install (actually the message is "download failed" so I can't even get very far with the update install), selective startup, uncheck connect by proxy, throttle download speed, etc. Any help available here? I'm thinking of just uninstalling and reinstalling uplay/FC4, but what do I have to do to preserve my game progress if you think this method will help?

Same problem here. Since 10th March not able to update the game. Always getting the message to download the update. And download fails because uplay cant start download. Connected to internet and enough space to save. :/
