Valley of the Yetis: Rare skins?

    Haven't found even one yet.
Where are we supposed to get them?
    Thanks.

The chests that have a skin in the background on the map.

I just finished the game - the main quests as well as the side quests. I made a point of opening all loot and skin chests that I came across. I still didn't get all crafting items maximized About half of them are maximized at 4/4 but the other half is still at 3/4. So the ones I need are the rare item skins that you can only find in chests. So I'm wondering if there are any chests in the map that I haven't opened yet. I was thinking of taking the helicopter and flying around the map just to see if chests pop up. Anyone have any other thought?

Ok, so I found about 4 rare skins at X: 674, Y: 239 all in a cave. After that, I only had 1 remaining (the Sky Tiger skin) and I found that at X: 492, Y:489. So I finally maxed out all my crafting items. Those must have been the only 2 chests I hadn't found in the entire map because I kept looking for more but didn't find any.

By the way, I wanted to complete everything including to max out my skills. The easiest way to do that was to fly in the helicopter, look around for the Yetis creatures, and kill them. It takes about 8 shots with the launcher but you get 3000 XP (as opposed to 1000 XP without the launcher).

All in all a good DLC, had fun - it was similar to the original game (but different map).

Thank you very much for your answers, just completed all the upgrades.

There were like 5 rare skins in that cave at far South (X: 674, Y: 239). And I was in that area at very early stage of the game (went there to get bear skins) and even had all that treasure icons appeared on the map, but apparently got distracted somehow, most chances by the damn wolves...

There was also Shadow leopard skin at X: 492, Y:489, I was ambushed by Yeti there, that scary SOB almost killed me...

BTW, the last rare skin (Mad Devil) I found near mounted gun upgrade quest location in NE corner of the map. Lot of Yetis there too, but you can snipe them from the cliff.

    Thanks for providing that detail.

Find the buzzsaw and you can kill the yetis much quicker and as you point out get a lot of XP quickly. In addition to the achievement for killing 5 of them.

    Regarding Buzzsaw location
    X: 670.0 Y:349.9

Hard to get to, but worth the effort

climb the mountain near the Lost Cave (X:762.6 Y:343.9)

once you get to the very top, you should see a ramp that you would normally jump off.
dont do that, carefully keep right of the mountain and slide down to the gun.

Stay to the left of the split just above the actual site location, and then slide left to right, holding your stick back to slow down the slide.

Otherwise it will ask you to deploy wing suit and theres not enough time to do that and then parachute.

Also if the slide doesn't work, try a slide/jump movement, again holding the stick back to slow down as much as possible.

In addition if you can have the reduce damage from falls skills that helps.

Point all of this out as it took me several attempts before I actually landed without dying at the site.

Once you have it deploy your wing suit to get off this location.

Video - here's a video showing how to actually get the buzzsaw. Take note that you don't jump off the ramp....

People keep saying the Buzzsaw is hard to get to, but you really only need to know where the Bull is to get started on the path to it, and wingsuiting there is pretty easy. I thought Escape From Durgesh paid better homage to the Buzzsaw, since it's in a fortress and you pretty much have to do some major fighting to get it.

You're right. It's too easy. Also, you pass near it at the very beginning of the game and the loot chest icon near the Buzzsaw pop on the map right away. Only thing you have to do is figure out how to get to that mountain top, that's it, you own the Buzzsaw pretty much from the start of the game...
