Alright alright, just like TeriXeri said, lets get this back on topic. I really want the devs to hone in on those suggestions, and take them seriously. After all we are playing a part in what the next Trials will bring, well....hopefully most of it. The state that Fusion will be in after the next update (go read the News section), will make it a very decent game after all, something it should have been at the very beginning. But anyway!
/offtopic
Also, id like to see the devs chime in more about what they think of some of the suggestions, maybe ask us for a little more depth (no more tire glitches talk, its pointless). I want to see a little back and forth after nearly 10 pages of great ideas for the next Trials. Even if any of you (RL) has some new ideas, share them here 'unofficially'. Give us feedbacks for our feedbacks, if you will. If you guys think some of the ideas wont work or is not intended to be part of the plan, at least share that with us so some of us don't have to make the same suggestions again.
It's difficult to speculate on things like that, though. If we say something we want, it could end up on some gaming news site and they it gets changed a bit and makes the rounds to others and when it gets back to some of the higher ups it's like we've promised something that was never even a thought and everyone looks bad. I'm hope you understand.
That's understandable but surely if you word things correctly you can give some form of 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' whether an idea could go into the next game, or whether there is a flaw with the idea and needs modifyingOriginally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post![]()
I don't know, how many times have we gone through these suggestions in the past? Wasn't there a massive thread with everyone's suggestions compiled by morillo already ages ago? Of those suggestions 2 insignificant items were implemented, one of them being an achievement in the game. Is this really going to lead anywhere? I don't have confidence.
I posted this on the first page with my other suggestions and wanted to revise it, it does sound a little bit selfish considering that Trials is not just about the speedrunners. If there is indeed a beta testing phase for the next Trials, i believe the community have a voting poll and send forward not just riders, but builders as well to speak on our behalf. I think 2-3 speedrunners would suffice, along with 2-3 quality builders that can test for bugs, flickering lights, broken collisions, etc (i have no idea what im really sayin cus i don't build). But you get the point. Once again, i apologize if i sounded selfish in my original post. For every feature, there should be at least 2 testers with expertise in their areas (speedrunning, ninjas, building, FMX, etc).Originally Posted by Retribution Go to original post
I wonder what Ubisoft's stand on beta testing is, i don't think any of their released games had a beta. Do they not want to risk a broken NDA or do they just think the devs alone can cover every aspect of Quality Assurance? Im beginning to think RL may not have a say in whether that does happen, but i thought id ask anyway.
To someone relatively new to trials & the forum it`s quite amazing how a nice suggestions thread can disintegrate like that in no time.
As a quick comment ... until last year I didn`t know a single person who played trials, since Fusion almost everyone I know is into it. Not exactly a statistic, but RedLynx did something right.
Small additional suggestion >
"Zoom in" option for Replays. Not to serve any purpose but looking cool and nice on videos![]()
Well fusion is on like twice as many systems than evolutionOriginally Posted by distrust74 Go to original post
then they probably drew in a bunch of people with the phone game
In addition to it being released on 4 platforms instead of 2, it had better marketing. But marketing success is not a reflection of game quality.Originally Posted by distrust74 Go to original post
I'm with D2 Dahaka. I appreciate peoples' undying optimism with Trials, but the goal of the next Trials will be the same as Trials Fusion: to attract the masses. Maybe we'll even get a Free to Play pay model if we're lucky next time around!
Not to that high a degree (though Evo's DLC lower level tracks seemed more technical than any other Trials games' lower level tracks), but I also wasn't capable of completing any higher level extreme tracks until Fusion. I'm certainly not doubting you. Nor am I stating which bike is best. Only that I'm currently favoring the Pit Viper because that's what I'm used to right now. If my PS4 breaks, I'll switch back to Evo, get used to the Phoenix there, favor that and have to adjust to the Pit Viper again later.Originally Posted by empecee Go to original post
As for bouncy, no. I don't find the Pit Viper too bouncy that I can't control it. I find it quite stable (EDIT: and I think this is what the better players are having an issue with). HD's Phoenix is bouncy. Terribly bouncy. Gripless, yeah, I'll certainly give you that one.
