I bought Far Cry 4 a few months ago on sale on Steam and was severely disappointed by the game breaking juttering and inability to optimize the graphics. After reading all the complaining and moaning on the forums I lost heart that it would ever be fixed, but I am here to say after the most recent update, it has been partially fixed. It's not perfect, but it is at least playable now, and I feel that Ubisoft deserve some gratitude for doing something about it. I am hoping that they continue to improve the optimization to where we can play the game smoothly and enjoy the stunning graphics. Again, THANK YOU UBISOFT! Keep up the good work!
Haha. Don't be too nice too them, I mean you wouldn't want them to get complacent (sloppy) would you?
Y'know, not one mod has posted on this section for 3 days! For a tech forum that is just terrible. So less *** kissin dude plz.
I'm giving up on solving my issues for now, 50% through the game, and just can't be bothered now! Damn you Ubi! On the front of your product, it tells me I can play co-op with friends, well I can't. You tricked us!![]()
I can not say that I agree. Keeping up the good work is releasing a game that was strictly developed for the pc (NOT PORTS FROM CONSOLES) from the beginning and not releasing 8 patches to get it barely working. A game where the save features actually work the way they need to. A game that doesn't completely cripple you and makes you start from the beginning of the game because a cut scene after finishing act II didn't load properly
No sir. A game that costs 60 dollars should be up to bar and ready to play without all these problems. The idea for patches from the beginning is not to release them to fix broken or unplayable games.
It was to give the developers some extra time to fix the small things that could not have been done before launch of the game.
Like for example: clipping issues or being able to go through a wall when you about done with the game but does not completely crash everything and forces you to start form the beginning.
Far Cry 4 along with Assassin's creed unity and Watchdogs were all broken from the start. unacceptable. This is not a company that is looking out for is customers.
Both of you should read this article:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinforcement
Specifically the part on positive and negative reinforcement. If you provide negative reinforcement (ie continuing to complain) when they start to do what you want them to, then they will stop and nothing will ever be fixed. However, if you provide positive reinforcement (ie gratitude), then they will be encouraged to continue working towards a solution. I respect your views and opinions, however I cannot condone the spread of negativity.
Well the last thing I want to do is to come across on a forum as a moaning troll. I'm more at the mature end of the scale of gamers, so I don't sink to that. However, I have had no reasonable answers or solution to what I and others consider a major flaw, so I am left feeling frustrated at this product and it's support.
I'll skip the negative reinforcement lesson thanks, a company deserves praise indeed when it creates something marvelous, but they also need reminding that they need to listen and answer to customers to put things right! More so with gaming, where as Emanuel said, they are constantly released in a broken state.
Anyway, I'll stop banging on about it. Nobody likes a moaner. But nobody like broken games and lack of support either.
Here's some positive reinforcement - GO UBI! You CAN be a winner! RUN... Run like the wind![]()
The newest patch 1.9.0 has broken SLI support for Far Cry 4 so I don't know why you are praising Ubisoft right now. Everything was fine on version 1.8.0, & now on 1.9.0 there is very heavy screen flickering when using SLI. Now I am not trying to be negative, but I am certainly not going to pat them on the back for breaking the game for us with SLI systems...
