Not once did anyone say that the track was bad. Not a single time. What was said is "It's good", "It's nice" and "I like it" by the same person you are saying unprofessionally ripped it to shreds.

Ok no grudges held dj ,

i cant apologise for seeing backside tho , im old and stubburn , because i truely did feel targeted in the open with everyone watching and no other was only the winner and they wont have aprob. Everyone else , i know you all actually mean well but you dont understand , you cant you wasnt me aand wasnt there , its not the same looking in from the outside to being inside one little bit. Have your views in which i respect and take but still it may seem like what your saying and most likely would to me. Far to much has been said by myself already anfd not wanting to give and more to this or carry it on ,

As for the absurd allegations , they arent absurd , or even if they are then why shouldnt they be if you keep ignoring the question as to why you felt ok to say so many negative points about on my track and mainly focused on the theme from the off till the end. What about the list , thatis suppose to be judged upon , what about everything else in my track " nice " is it. Its fine using the vod nobody is in my postion except me so mobody can see it from my side whats so ever. Peopl will see that you directly never said anything mean however you did choose to be vocal about a far few that was not to your liking and nothing that was good unless prompted. Im not daft i know full well what this is about. Msaybe i am reaching for answers and some are alittle far fetched but your leaving me no choice because no expliation has been given as to why you thought no positiv feedback was warranted at all , its good and nice when prompted isnt feedback. I understand that thinsg are bad with a track but i also understand its respectful to then also add your own positive feeback too. There was a track where the panda went straight through the wal for sometime , a track with no decor at all , and the one you liked with hardly any detail whats so ever , which if i am to understand correctly was suppose to be subjected to in the tersm and conditions of making a track. If the theme and decor is not part of the track in which you seem to have the process on the one u liked then it seemed unfair that you would consider my theme to warrant your feeback. Can i please have an eplination as to why a track with no theme hardly at all and no decor or detail was liked so much even though that was tersm and conidtions of the comp yet in mine you though thought to use this as a point to pick it apart.

Im not an idiot , to sit there and say a track that has no theme hardly , doesnt bother with hardly any decor and has no detail is your best but then suddenly sourrend my track in a sea of negativity because of them same things is somehwta confusing and is mainly why i was so offended. This to me was unfair , if you judge one track on this then you judge another on it to and the one you judge on it had none of the above what so ever.

Im the one who looks a ffol here dont you worry and i will most like end up coming out of this more unliked as i am , but i am not being told my theme is not good becauseof certain things when whe your best track was one without a theme without decor or without detail.

I stuck to what shifty asked for and said what the judges would be looking at , so why cant i be annoyed about this , why cant i expect professonalism.
You right my words have bene alittle strong and not the correct terminology and your right it has to stop in whish this is my last post whever is replied.

However saying all the above does not take away that i have not been in your position so therefore should try to be alittl emore understanding as for how hard it might be to do , do on that note i will just put my head between my legs and kiss my own backside. I just forget about , i dont hold grudges so if you agree , lets just forget about it. I dont disslike you and actually put the lighting in for you especially cause i know ya keen on it lol. also the frame rate is one issue i never suffered with and havent previous at all. but i never tested it with all 8 but thats not what bothered me..

I personely thought that according to your list on what you take into account on judging , there was most of that list unticked with the track u liked the most which was the other side in which u was so vocal about.

    Shifty

yeah but dont forget thats only when he was prompted , thats a different thing and also , the word " its nice " come on dude whats the hell does that mean " its nice " lol it means one thing. End of the day i made the track , i expect the same respect as i gave him when watching him build his track on the stream. I enter almost every comp and im sorry but i dont care whether he ws judging or not , he totaly gave my teast a massive bubble of negativty from more less start to finish. He didnt need to say he thought it ws crap or it was bad , his attitude towards it was plain and simpl.

anyway im wrong , i should have just rushed it under the carpet , thinking about it , from a prespective of being there and talking about peoples tracks must be prettty hard to do anyway , and isnt something i have taken into account. But i hope all can see , well atleast try to undertsand that its not what was said or wording but how much and for what reason. If they was going along and not realy saying much then all of a sudden started picking out your fault on your track , i am sure it would make you wonder and the more they kept going on the more you would se ya backside , thats why i left into the second race and sat and listened. Again tho i havent been in a postion like on a stream doing that so i cant say i would be any better at being correct and not being wrong so on that side

I wont be adding any more posts i have said what i wanted to which has only mad me look like a moron but still , i expect the tersm and conditions ot be stuck to when i spent hours and hours ticking them off , or thought i had

Pmsl what type of good feedback is ,

Is good when prompted , or "its nice " and this time im going to go out on a limb and say he was totaly wrong , it better then nice better than good , its probebry better than most will make on ps4 or up there with other quality ones atleast , so its nice and its good was pittyful to say that was honest good feeback. ( when prompted ). There isnt any point in entering any more as i expect better feeback then a pittful its nice and a whole bag full of negativity. no reason for it what so ever.

off now to have alittle cry and put my head in the microwave bye

You should not seek for attention on forums after getting it so much on the stream

    Funk mate,
I think you're taking it all (somewhat lopsided) to heart buddy,
Shifty has it broke down fairly accurately above, and that's all good stuff in my eyes,
I distinctly remember all 3 hosts saying they were fairly impressed and enjoyed all entries,
And had a hard time deciding the winners.
Of course things will have been overlooked given the timeframe it was all done in,
Every track got a fair shake, some critical points raised and some good points praised... towards all.
You did in essence give your track up to scrutiny and it held up against some very nice tracks,
You will learn a lot more from critique than praise, true story,
I didn't see it being "ripped into" so can't really say anymore about it...
I'm sorry to see you displeased with your experience of it all,
But I would hope to see you review the "review" and make the next one better again mate,
    All the best Funk

@Funk: Remember not long ago you accused me of attacking you, then we cleared that up? Hopefully the same happens with this situation.

As for constructive criticism: Pointing out the good in a track serves as nothing but to protect the creator's ego. There is nothing to learn, because you're already doing it right! Constructive criticism is ONLY about addressing the room for improvement. If there's solid reasoning behind why he has that criticism, then it doesn't matter what his personal feelings are towards you.

And in my experience with Twitchy, he can be strongly opinionated about things that are subjective, in terms of track design.

i appreciate your posts guys and maybe i am alittle ozy but either way just because i am annoyed now it dont mean i hold grudges or will feel like that tomz , thats another day. I know what you mean also and i would most likely see it the way you and everyone does if it was someone else but alot is being missed and alot of the good parts to my track was shadowed and not allowed to be enjoyed because of this mass discussion of what he dissliked about my track

zxample , yes i know i have asked my self this and tried to find reason for why my track caused him to sudden speak up about design especially when the one that he liked the most didnt even have one. I have looked at all angles and i cant see any reason for focusing on more or less on point the majoirty of test of a person track. How can you correclty consider any other aspect of that track while your being negative about it about another part of it , doing this will just spoil any enjoyment they could have had from it.

However i think my track is far better than he has proffesionally given a review on , there is far more to that track that a professional should have picked up on , which i expected to have been seen and not unseen. I say this because i created it and i say this because i have it on good authority that the track its self is of good quality and i cant say why.

This has also bothered me because now the track has been deemed not having a theme or lacking it and has so many problem this is even taken it out of the runing for any chance of it also might have been recommended in which it possibly could have who knows but how can it be now , it is deemed to be useless. If my track was the one that was spoken about so much with so much negativity out of all of the tracks then he was saying its the worst of the bunch i didnt enter a comp to be told its the worst of the all and not directly but indirectly speaking about so many negativity points that is more or less what has been said and also saying that it doesnt have a theme is taking any chance for it to be recommended

The list for the comp in what they are looking for in my opinion was ticked off completly only the issue of a few frame rate drops which i haven't had aproblem with so have no chance of doing anything about. so if a track that ticks off every possible thing on the list almost in my opinion and others then how can it be so bad , and thats what so much negativity implies...

I didnt take anything he said as feeback , i felt embarressed that shogun was trying to atleast grab me some positivity out of all the negativity which was a cool thing to do on his part. It felt like dj was having none of it and could only muster up a yes its nice after prompting. If it was that bad only to get a its nice from him then i wouldnt have bothred entering it in the first place. there is no need to do that to someones creation , that in my opinion wasnt constructive feeback. Pipes were not going everywhere as he said , they was going under the rocks to the main city , the pumping station was pumping out the toxic waste. from the city which i used the lava in a green colour , the filtering station after the triangle things were then filter other waste out into the main square tube which was be churned by the wheels above that was walkways for the workers who checked the pipes after that was a few ramps for whatever as in all then there were more with toxic waste coming from the city , the sun thing were obviously the energy source to all the sewers next was the loading bay where all the toxic wast was put in barrels and put in the custom carriers , behind all this was a few other buillding of the sewer and behind that in the back ground there was even more massive pumping stations that was kept in shadow and behind that was the city which was light bright so could be seen. and raise up high to give the feeling of the sewer being out of the city and lower ground also being aided by the massive rocks forming the undergrowth. Toxic fumes gave the place its smoke look and a mixed colour scheme of greens and yellows and reds gave the toxic enviroment feel. Only old and rusitc objects were used for dl line mainly rustland and fire in the deep dlc. So a theme i think might be of a little understatement.

So if thats not a theme , if sticking to certain dlc objects in a manner to create a long changing envirment is not a theme then i am clueless as to what is. Maybe a theme he didnt like but thats not a ground to totaly dominate someones testing with negativity in a competion

Sorry he was way way to harsh for no real reason in my opinion it had everything he was saying it didnt in my opninion i could go on and on about the differnt details on each of the lines I added an entry to the comp for it to be fun and for it to be judged not to be dissliked like it is in tc based on a prefference.

anyway guys and all who as posted , i repsect what you are saying and in some cases are right but im sticking up for my track , i think its pretty good , whats does dj know how only works for redlynx who are they

i like they guy to be honest just didnt like the way this went down one bit and i say whats on my mind , but for me to still be annoyed about this must be a sign that this has really gotten up my hay hole somewhat and i am genuinely annoyed.

soory about all my long entrys , least these all have theme hahahahaha

You don't want people to even indirectly mention things are negative? Funk, this is part of getting better at anything in life. Just use the critiques of others to grow.

@Funk: You say you understand what I meant, but are you sure of that? Your problem seems to be his focus on the negative: but that is what constructive criticism is! Maybe he thought that you showed a lot of potential, so he was more detailed about what improvements could be made on the track.

What Shogun did is called a compliment sandwich, and it serves no purpose other than to make you feel better about your track. You seriously need to get past the idea that any negative review of your track is only meant to be a personal attack. You call 2witchy a professional (because he is), but there are plenty of other track creators that are just as capable of being professionals. Talk to them and see if they agree with 2witchy's points.

And I want to warn you that responding to constructive criticism this way will result in less people willing to be honest with you about your tracks. Constructive criticism helps you improve, so if you don't have people like 2witchy, who isn't afraid to be honest with his opinions, you will learn at a much slower rate.

I'm sure DJ was reiterating what he said to discuss with Shogun...not to keep harping. He believed the decor wasn't cohesive.
If I had to pick some thing out, which I mentioned before to you...was the driveline was hard to see at times...too dark and not defined enough. The custom camera at the end didn't matter much, but triggering it with the last checkpoint would have eliminated that comment on the stream. The driveline in general, was quite fun to run and thought it was one of your better ones. I thought the theme was there, but dislike the generic buildings in the background. Maybe use some cave rock like I seem to be doing on the regular...haha.
Your tracks have progressed quite a bit in a short time. To be building for 9 months and only have these comments made is a compliment. Theme and cohesiveness is somewhat subjective.

For my track, Badger thought the lava running along a pipe didn't look right. He needs to take that up with a Redlynx employee who creates the assets. I understood what he meant though and to him...it didn't look right. DJ then mentioned how it was a memorable part of the track. We all have opinions.
They also questioned the difficulty of the track. I could think of a few Redlynx tracks that were much harder to me, but not labeled extreme. King of the Hill back in the day...first obstacle...extreme as hell.
Again, many of these things are subjective. I've had other people tell me some obstacles are too hard for the difficulty I label them as. Someone here mentioned I overused ope's. I thought they were nuts then, but looking back...they had a point actually.

For the track that was 1st. I know why they liked it, but I can see your point. I'm sure it took a fraction of the time yours did. Time doesn't always mean people will receive it better. If you look at shoguns building style for many mp tracks he's done in the past, the track was right up his alley.

It would be great to have a constructive tear down of a dozen tracks a week on the stream. It would valuable to builders and something I'd like to watch. Anyone could submit a track they wanted critique on.

Last, remember way back when I went over your builds many months ago...I was way more harsh...haha. I recall saying get rid of those &@$& custom cameras and get the objects out of the line of site.
