I might need someone to show me around on this, Had a game yesterday and got puzzled after killong about 29 A.I. - Just didn't know where to go, the map is huge and epic and has some really amazing colors on the terrain, I have not seen anything like this before - will have another go tomorrow - I did like killing those demons with the flare gun![]()
First, thank you very much for the comments.
The only point where you have to think a little, is in the maze of "Pacman" and the output is the logical place (from my way of seeing it), this is in the central room (grapple on the roof). I was tempted to put an indicator in the maze, but decided against it because I think the map is fairly linear and did not need (if you find a door. Is not it logical that the output is there?) The rest of the map only you have to follow the path. There's only one route and basically is all straight in your way.
Also note that you have infinite ammo and when you find the arc, you have fire arrows and explosive Unlimited (very rewarding for me). If you do not realize this at the next area you will find a grenade launcher, very appropriate to remove heavy enemy and fight their way through the doors.
At the cost of being misunderstood, I prefer that people use the gray meteria![]()
Jaavaa that is where I got lost, I followed the walls around the maze & even went back to the start to see if I missed anything.Originally Posted by Jaavaa Go to original post
After that I got up onto the top of the maze wall by jumping and looked around until I gave up - I can't explain how I missed the grapple point but I know where it is now THANKS I will play the map some more now![]()
This map is one of the most unique maps ive played yet. You found really creative ways to use the map editing tools. I had no idea that the "floor rock" texture was that reflective, and it especially looks cool when the sky is red. You've opened many new possibilities in the editor. Oh and all the colors, from the blue explosions of the shangri la enemies, the orange barrels, the red ice, and tthe flares, really make this map pop. And when you get hit by one of those mind altering arrows really makes an explosion of the senses lol. Really cool map jaavaa.
I agree with Billsandthrills - just completed the map earlier, very nice, other than the hiccup where I could not find a way out of the Pac Man Maze the rest was straight forward.
An amazing map by Jaavaa who constantly pushes the boundaries.
I love the look of the water and skyline
Sea looking very different from what we are used to seeing
Amazing reflections as Bills said in his post above - makes it look like a different game altogether
Beyond those gates is the Pac Man Maze
This kind of craziness I do like - very original this map and in places quite insane but I do love it a lot.
Jaavaa how did you find out that the tall spire / pointy temple item collapses ?
That caught me out first time, I was under it and it collapsed and killed me when I destroyed the gates![]()
Then the Fire Demon is underneath somehow but appears to come top side when the broken item somehow vanishes - very cool but very odd, how did you find that out you genius ?
Very Very Cool Map - I even liked been in the cage at the start and after banging hell out of the side realized it was the roof that breaks![]()
Thank you, guys.
@Billsandthrills
I am very happy that map will transmit these feelings. It was my main goal with this map.
And you're right, I've searched the seams to the editor and something more is in the inkwell for another map.
@Fallen Champ
I found this item temple was destructible by chance.
I put it on the map and then placed the Fire Demon, and when I test the map, Fire Demon itself caused the collapse when he saw the tiger, he released his flare and vessels of fuel that I had placed, to make sure the explosion of doors, did the rest.
I almost 100% than other parts of this series of temple also collapses with explosive weapons or explosive objects.
I remember using another piece of the series and find it destroyed without knowing why.
What you mention the disappearance of that demon was an headache to me, happened many times to appear, he did under the part of the base. Place a square floor panels and to avoid the navmesh were valid. I recalculate often the location of the Fire Demon and no longer believed that occurred this circumstance (I tested this part more than 40 times). That appears up again after what had not seen. I guess that does something similar to the other demons and teleports short distances. This does not happen in every game. When I played with Sabatour not happened.
The editor always gives you surprises.![]()
