In a book "Combat Legend: Focke Wulf Fw-190" published by airlife 2002 in a chapter with weapons I found this:

"The Fw190 was able to carry a wide range of SC or Splitterbombe (splinter bomb) types up to the SC 1800 (!!!)..."

I also found this claim in some other book, so it draw my attention...

1800 kg seems a bit to much for a fighter...
    Anyone, any info?

    (what about SC1000?)

    regards, tt

I wouldn't put it past the late models to be able to tote it. But it sure ain't going to handle very well, pretty much a flying brick with that much dead weight under it.

The SC-1000 definitely, I have some pictures of the 190 carrying it and as was mentioned the lower fin was removed. The max external bomb-load of the FW-190 was accepted at 1000kg, and I have never read of the FW-190 carrying the SC-1800.

It did carry torpedoes also, the tail wheel was lengthened to fit it under the aircraft.

Oleg said that modelling the bomb would be too difficult.

The last modeller that tried went insane. He kept trying to find the fourth fin, but it eluded him. He saw it in his dreams, mocking him. Then he would see the fin everywhere, near at hand, but always out of reach. Sadly, he was killed when he chased the imaginary fin out the window of his apartment building.

One can only hope that on his way down, he found the 4-finned SC-1800 that he so longed for, and rode it into the ground to smite this dark blue world.

    Powerful imagery there Fennec, S~~
I hope that poor fellow finds peace in the afterlife.

I also hope we get something like the SC1000 or SC1800 and maybe someday the Panzerblitz. My 190F8 is quite jealous of the HVAR the allies are sporting these days.

The runways in IL2FB are not long enough. You use about 80% of the runway with a 900kg loadout, imagine doubling that.
