Wait I have a good one too.

The reason of that infraction is apparently trolling/spamming.

Okay so I just recalc'd my score with the spreadsheet and I'm 24 points ahead of the score I should normally have.

The original message had an extra sentence where I was trolling salt.... umm I mean SHIFTYSamurai, but that was completely friendly and non-aggressive. Btw where's the spamming in this message ? Lol

Most hilarious thing is that the infraction will NEVER expire.

Okay I don't know where I should post this message and I don't want to start a new thread so Im gonna post here.

I got timed out from the RL stream because I made some jokes about shifty, and he took 'em with an unbelievable seriousness. I asked him to calm down, and I got a timeout. What in the **** ?

Yay ! Just because he does not have a single grain of humor !

Well. Glad to see his dictatorship also extends to the stream which I've been following for a long while now.
You know what shifty ? You can do whatever you want with my account. Give it thousands of infractions (You like this, admit it), permaban it, I don't care. Im never putting a foot into these forums or on the stream again.

Inb4 infraction/ban because shifty doesn't have anything else to answer

I got an infraction for this (dat prediction doe), but it will expire in a few months. Moderators' logic 11/10 would understand - IGN

I wouldn't worry about it too much, I got my first one for the alternate use of Donkey, which is a real word used too. But I never used it in the terms to call it someone which would be classed as an infraction. Cie la vié

People are pushing out devs just as hard at the same time by constant trolling/remarks, its a 2 way street.

It's more like going on a daytime talk show and being asked not to use profanity... Children can and do access the forum. The forums are an "all-ages" space. This is exactly why we have the rules that we do.

@Camzarcar - Saying that people should lighten up while personally attacking them is probably the wrong thing to do.

@StormPsykoz - Posting a post that received an infraction while personally attacking a member of staff is probably the wrong thing to do.


The rules are the same for everyone. If you want to follow them or not is up to you, but we'll still enforce them.

@Terixeri: That's completely irrelevant. The thread is about overly-strict moderation, and Venomz pointed out that it's a big factor on why the forums are inactive.

Seriously now, if people just followed the ruled that are linked just about everywhere on the forums then this wouldn't be an issue. If you can't/won't follow those rules, then you will have issues and receive infractions. It's not about "lightening up", it's about following rules that you agree to follow each and every single time you lig in.

PS: None of the latest infractions were issued by me, though I stand by them. None of the reposts or attacks have been issued an infraction, though they could be. I've been going pretty light for a while now yet the animosity and flat out attacks towards certain people by certain people hasn't decreased.

There is a link to the forum rules you are correct, however, THE only place there is a link to the forum rules is with in each forum/thread and the link is at the bottom of the page.
