    Far Cry Co-op Issues

Hey there people I thought that I would sign up and post my issue on here to see if anybody knows what might be going on... I've googled etc but can't seem to find any answers.

The problem i have is to do with the Co-op side of things
I own a copy of the game on ps4, and I bought a copy of it for my sons ps4 also... with the idea of us playing co-op. Now I share custody of him with my ex wife and when he comes to my house for the week he brings his ps4 we connect both our ps4's up to a couple of tvs fire up the far cry co-op and away we go, Now we have no problems whatsoever, He can join my game or I can join his, we haven't had a single problem, However... when he goes back to his mums house and we try to connect up to play..... no go... have tryed over and over and all we get is failed to join session please try again later.... I should point out that both he and I can still connect to random people fine... just not each other yet when he is at my house and both our ps4's are connected to the same home router there is no issue... wtf? Ive been around to test his connection at his mums house and everything checks out fine and he is nat 2 etc...
    any ideas??
    thanks

Try configuring a port forward from your router to your PS4. The needed ports are listed in some guide somewhere.

Ok i did try the port forward thing last night, used the portforward.com website guides to do this for my specific router, according to the test my required ports are now open..
When I do a network test on my ps4 it still says I have a nat type 2, which is the same as what it was before I did the port forward.

Question will I also need to port forward my sons ps4 at his mothers house for it to work??

I think a lot of people have this problem if you search around. I filed a bug report to Ubi over a week ago, but haven't heard anything. I've put this game to one side until it's fixed, IF it is ever fixed. The router settings advice doesn't seem to work for anyone either. But we shouldn't really have to mess with those settings anyway. I've never had to change router or net settings for a game.

C'mon Ubisoft, sort it! It's shoddy workmanship to leave this game in such a state.

As games and applications get more sophisticated, they are requiring that several ports be opened. Some may require extra configuration of the router to work correctly.

If you have a UPnP router this should automatically open the ports needed, if not then you may need to open them yourself.

But can we expect a fix (patch) for this do you think MoshiMoshi? Is it being worked on with any success?

If it works logically, the player sending the coop request is the Server and the other is the Client. Port forwarding is only needed on Server. But I cannot know if it works that way on PS4, sorry.
