Just want to give a big ******bag award to 'chanchan46' and 'bogdanov-90'.
Both of these are Legends and went out of their way to crush me and prevented me from going from level 1 to Legend.
I have never been this close to being Legend. Was 3 wins away, and now I'm back down to Level 2.
They even spent tickets to win.

I got to Legend today for the first time yay my first Donkey paintjob (big deal i know), but as we say here, the first time you never forget..... Ran into several legends on the last levels and nobody gave free wins, except one from TM_GT (sorry man i forgot your name). I also kinda got lucky in my last match coz the opponent was still rank 3 and didn´t put up much of a fight. Not many days left but it´s free wins vs me.

Now that I am legend I have been starting off all of my tracks with 25 faults.

The thinking is that it should be obvious to the non-legend player that I am setting them up for a win but would like to get some bunker chips for my efforts. Nope. Every time the other player just comes along and nails all of my times within minutes of me posting them. So I either compete and don't hand them a win or I go without chips.

Surely it isn't that hard to work out that someone is helping you get legend status right?

why would anyone give you free wins?
i am lvl2 especially but nn any free wins at all that would just decrease the achievement

edit: ive hit legend as well, last 3 opponents were legend and gave me easy rides to beat
is this a common thing to do?

Man... no one owes you anything in this game. When people do the whole 'let you win' thing so you can also get to Legend rank, they are being nice. Don't expect people to just hand you wins, though - some of them may need Chips in a bad way. Some of them may just not care. Some legends help me to legend, too - others do exactly like what happened to you. Just keep at it, and you'll get there eventually.

It's not uncommon, but it's also not a guarantee, as I say above. Most times I get matched with someone who isn't legend, I just go hard on one track (because they almost never know to ping pong) so I can at least get some chips out of it (though now I have the last bunker map, I don't care very much). Most of the people who are legend and hand out free wins are probably on this forum (they may not post, but they probably read it), or have had legends be nice to them and learn to pay it forward.

I usually don't even care about ping pong these days, it's not worth the bother. I just start showdowns to see if any of the PvP tracks appear with Berserker so I can try to get top times on them.

Im basicly with same reasons. . But with Donkey. Im too lazy to spend fuel and i hope tracks with Donkey. Already got bunnyhop

I've come to see that its rare for a Legend to give a win. I can live with that.

Yeah it's a tough subject. While I think that legends should give wins to non-legends to help out, they also reserve the right to try to win because that's the point of the game. You can't really get upset if they decide to race, it's up to them really. I used to not care after the first few seasons and would just let people win, but some people are more competitive than others.

Hey flooodi thanks for the (ongoing) pingpong! Also earlier today i checked out your ghost on Trapeze Chum, pretty cool. Gotta be quick on the front lean, i actually did better with the countdown rather than just swiping and restarting immediately after a crash, that way i could get the timing right more often. Couldn´t always get as much height as you did, i still improved my time by about half a second, moved up to rank 500 something. Great tip!
