i think reducing the amount you can win in the bunker actually hurts competitiveness

At least it does for me personally. Once ive made it to legends the desire to win is so much less now. Previously with little effort the pots got pretty nice even without willing ping pongers so i would really want to win in addition to getting chips. Now even with committed ping pongers the pots just suck so i really couldnt care much less about winning it since barely a drop in the bucket. Now I look forward to just ping ponging back and forth for chips and dont care about winning since it gets me practically nothing.

maybe the next move will be to eliminate chips from the losers side all together instead of just halving them.

I pretty much feel the same. when i actually started trying i found getting to legend very easy only 1 or 2 slip ups. having now upgraded all my bikes the pots mean even less to me plus that fact already stated that they are too low to really care about anyway.

I think there should be something else for legends to play for because chips just aint enough. I want the new tracks but just not enough to grind so much for the chips. i really dont like this method of gaining tracks i prefer the story to this.

like you said about taking the whole chips amount maybe thats a thing once your in the legends league to make you really not want to lose.

i found getting into legends to be more difficult this time. so many people were willing to spend loads of golden tickets. I lost a few times this go around where as the first season i barely lost at all.

Actually, it would make me really not want to PLAY. I would stop the moment I made legends and I would delay getting to legends as long as possible.

Good games reward people for making a goal and offer a new goal. Bad games just make you do the same old thing but make it "harder" in some way. If they wanted to foster winning/competition, then there would be more legend-speciifc goals or rewards for being ranked higher in legends. As it is.... whoever makes high-ranked legends will only gain the "privilege" of having the slate wiped and doing it again in another 5 days or so...

I agree my main point is really they need to do something next season, give the legends something to earn, i really dont care about being the world numero uno.

if they dont change something then i think casual players such as my brother will lose interest. he weirdly found the game to get too difficult too quickly i never thought that, but i would imagine things have changed a lot since then.

    Totally agreed....
Making it to legend was a bit more difficult than last season but now i am there is no more challenge with those ridiculous pots.
I just play my 3 free showdowns for fun spending my free tickets....

if they didnt make it so you had to play showdowns to get chips for tracks i dont know if i would even play anymore. i dont really care about the donkey since its most likely going to be bunker only anyway if its anything like the bunker specific tracks.

If the donkey is a crappy bike and is bunker only then i will be done with Trials Frontier. After all the effort thats gone into gaining it, it better had be good. i have been tinkering on the edge of quitting the game for a while, i have said it before if it wasnt for the many great guys in the community i might of left long ago.

I may just keep an eye out for Frontiers successor maybe they would of learned from all their mistakes by then.

i dont think they need to give any special rewards for finishing higher in legends. its no different than having a high rank on an individual track. you get nothing for that either.

in the least it would be nice if you could just look through previous seasons rankings.
