Far Cry 4 not running after clicking 'Play' and 'Disk write error'

    Hello!

So I have come across an extremely annoying issue. When I go on Uplay and click on 'Play', the cursor has the blue loading circle for a second or two, then it goes back to the normal cursor. When I go into task manager, I look at the process named 'Far Cry 4' and I see that it is using no CPU, only 0.1MB of memory, no disk, and no network. Uplay thinks that I am in-game, and so I have to end the process through task manager, by clicking on the process and clicking 'End Task'. This is extremely annoying as I really want to play the game. I have not played the game before. The first time I launched the game after installing the patches, it installed all of the necessary things like Direct X, etc. Then it proceeded to do nothing. I tried ending the process and re-opening the game, but nothing worked. My CPU is a dual core i3 3240, however it has hyperthreading, so it has 4 logical cores, and therefore the game should run, so I don't believe this to be a CPU issue, plus I have also seen the game running on a system with the same CPU as mine. I would be EXTREMELY grateful if anybody could help me with this annoying issue.

    Thank you.

EDIT: So I went and tried verifying the game files, and it found corrupted files. Now when I click 'Repair' It takes me to the 'Downloads' screen at which point I am told 'Download failed do to a disk write error.' I need help with this, I have no idea how to fix this. Please help!

Sorry, but just posting the system requirements didn't exactly help, especially after I said that it is NOT a CPU issue. If you could tell me how to fix the 'Disk write error' then that would be much more helpful.

You do not meet the minimum requirements for the game.

    1) I have seen the game running on my CPU
    2) Requirements aren't the problem
    3) If it was a CPU problem and not corrupted files then there would be a logo and then a black screen, but I just stay on my desktop when I attempt to launch the game
    4) I need help with the 'Disk write error'

You're running on a dual core CPU which does not meet the minimum requirements and is not supported.

I don't mean to be rude, but IT IS NOT A SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ERROR. If it was a sytem requirements error, there would be a logo and then a black screen, as the game would not be corrupted. My game is corrupted and I stay on the desktop when I launch the game. Uplay has even found corrupted files and attempted to patch them but then I get a disk write error. That is what I need help with. IT IS NOT A CPU ISSUE.
