Why is it when one of my Outpost is under attack, as soon as I arrive back to defend it about twenty of the enemy spawn all around me no matter what part of my Outpost I arrive at. Then I lose all my armour and half of my health. This is BS. It's as bad as nearly getting spawn killed. It's bad enough I have to keep on going back as soon as I'm about 150m away.
They spawn outside an Outpost as I go back to it and they are always around me. I've never had one under attack while I'm still in the Outpost.Originally Posted by Patu Go to original post
I thought we have to defend them. Thanks for letting me know because it gets annoying when I'm all geared up for something and I have to go back, or I should say when I thought I had to go back.Originally Posted by MikeWeeks Go to original post
In my experience they will spawn in specific locations to attack, so if you want to return, and must reach the o/p via any of their spawning locations ... yeah, they're "spawning around you".Originally Posted by Orca_Amity Go to original post
One reason I do most of my gearing up prior to any o/p liberation, as well as use the buzzer, is that when I get that message and I'm so incline, I come in straight from the opposite direction of the spawning and either lay waste to them with via my m79 or set down and reach a known high-point (i.e., one of the roofs) and enjoy a turkey shoot with a clear view of the NPCs.
One reason to actually defend an o/p - it builds up XP and Karma, can be fun as you know where they are coming from, and there's some help from the GP NPCs - so you also get a reward afterwards.
However it does get old after awhile, so depending on your play style - take down the local fortress. That stops the attacks in that area.
Since there is a requirement to defend one outpost to get one of the skills it has to be done to get 100%. I've gotten to the point of finishing the game and never defending an outpost and not been able to as all outposts were taken and/or all the fortresses were taken.Originally Posted by Orca_Amity Go to original post
To avoid defending outposts you can fly off in the buzzer or fast travel out to another place or drive off in a car quickly and rarely will the outpost come under attack and no message to help defend will come.
To initiate an outpost recapture by the enemy, walk away from the liberated outpost and at a certain distance away the message will come that the outpost is under attack.
As noted there is no requirement to derfend them other that to have a little more fun in battle, and no outpost ever falls to the enemy if you dont help defend it. Also if you take all the main 4 fortresseses there wont be any outpost recapture attempts, so defend at least one before you capture all the main fortresses.
Had forgotten that fact. Thanks for mentioning it.Originally Posted by AndyJackson2012 Go to original post
