Me neither. I always find the densest foliage I can or a decent sized rock or building I can duck behind. With the Z93 it is possible to dispatch most of the guards in a fortress on Normal settings.

My experience is that wall bleeding is far worse in FC4 than it is in FC3 - unfortunately.
The walls were made of flint and they are underground. How can blood leak through a flint wall and even if the wall was wooden, blood wouldn't leak that quick and the walls in the basement have earth at the other side. I had the same issue in GTA V. I killed somebody on the top floor of a parking lot and I got a wanted level. In reality, what are the chances of somebody hearing that from up there. In Far Cry 4 I've noticed many bugs in the game and the Xbox One version is worse than the Xbox 360 version. I'm planning on getting the PS4 soon so I hope that version is better and I'm sure the bug with the silent kills will still be there.

I noticed the same issue with the bow and arrow. When I fire an arrow at somebody from a distance from the other enemies, they still hear the arrow while they have the sound of a bell and themselves talking over the sound of the arrow. Even though it's only a video game, the bug ruins part of the game where it defeats the purpose of moving in slow and silent. It doesn't always happen with the sniper rifle because one time I liberated a fortress alone while sniping and I never got detected and I never alerted the enemy where they never spotted a single corpse.

Don't know since it hasn't been described exactly how the kill (i.e. the shot) took place.

Personally I've dispatched the dude while in the basement with a takedown and hidden the body in a corner away from where the remaining NPCs are located. I've also waited outside the walls near the latter and via a rock lured him (and two others) outside and done takedowns and hid them in some bushes.

Right, if the NPCs don't actually spot you, you're golden ...

Wall bleeding is a coding problem (regardless of platform as I understand it - I'm using a PC), and it's a term that means the body itself is "leaking" thru the wall (as far as the sloppy coding is concerned). It doesn't matter one bit about the type of "wall" in the game, nor if there's any blood.

This is super interesting. Now the enemy can hear me throwing a knife from a distance! WTF! This game seriously needs fixing.

I shot him in the head with a silenced pistol. There was only him and me in the basement.

Just to get a better understanding of what the game itself is doing - what difficulty setting, and which specific suppressor-equipped pistol was used?

There's more to this than meets the eye. I am playing through again on Normal and at one of the Outposts there was an alarm post with 2 goons standing about 10 feet away talking to each other. I shot the alarm box with an arrow from the Recurve Bow and it blew up with the usual fairly loud bang but neither of the goons noticed. Am I just lucky ?

Like Mike said, the silencers in this game on some weapons only cut down on the radius of noise, they don't eliminate it. That's the way it should be.There's a certain range you need to be with certain weapons to avoid being heard.

Close up stealth kills in outposts and fortresses when you're not sure if other guards are far enough away to not hear the more powerful weapons are best handled with takedowns, throwing knives, headshots with silenced single shot pistols, and the bow.

What I like about this game is it's not like action movies where the concealment of silencers is quite exaggerated. You CAN in some situations use silenced rifles without raising suspicion, it's just that your likelihood of blowing stealth goes up considerably.

I'm guessing the sidearm you used was not a very good one for stealth. The Stinger for instance is suppressed, but not nearly as good as a less powerful single shot pistol for stealth.

The silenced sidearms in this game vary greatly. Sniper Elite V2 has the Welrod, one of the best stealth pistols ever made.
