4 out of 5 ain't bad. "Bye Bye Love" is a great song, and the lack of "My Best Friend's Girl" makes me hopeful that it's being held back for a 2nd The Cars pack.
And good news for oldgeezer99, they're all in E-Standard tuning.
Nice illustration of how a band's popularity can vary by region (and by extension that it's perfectly possible for people to not have heard of a band that is a house-hold name for others).

I only know the Cars for 'Drive'. As it turns out, 'Drive' is the only cars song that came near the top 10 in the Netherlands, where I grew up. The other 3 singles they had in the charts 'peaked' at #40, #48 and #49. It doesn't surprise me I didn't recognise any of the songs I looked up.
Similarly, I only know Drive, and You Might Think; all this despite being an 80s kid and quite familiar with most 80s music. I guess the songs in this pack pre-dated that and out here in Singapore didn't get played any more by the 80s. Having said that, the preview/ad sounds interesting enough.Originally Posted by Danny-Ramone Go to original post
