Man that is a good idea.
I remember in my younger days there were some albums that the whole thing was excellent.

For instance I had a couple albums that was just good rights through. Moody blues, 10 years after, the guess who.
I remember stacking three albums on top of one another and just let them play right through.

Depending on which group this could be pretty cool.

The problem here is we can only talk about albums and how cool it'd be. We, the members of the forum, don't know. And the folks who do know won't say. So maybe yes, maybe no. We got 12 Jimi Hendrix tracks. That's an album in some cases

The problem isn't whether Ubisoft SF has the ability to track whole albums, it's whether or not the artist/record label/estate that owns the songs in question will give permission to do so; as sometimes only select songs will be licensed out at a time.

Music licensing is a very complicated thing, indeed.

Full albums would be awesome with the option to buy songs only if you don't want the full album.

From what I have heard some band only allow full albums and not individual songs.

I was wondering if anyone on the Rocksmith team thought it would be possible to release full dlc in the future of great albums from tracks that you already have rights to.

I've always listened to whole albums.

Usually my favorite tracks never get radio play. Maybe why they are my favorite, since I don't get burned out on them.

I obviously do not know, but I doubt there would ever be any push to "get a whole album" vs "get as many songs are we can and we think will sell".

If "get as many songs are we can and we think will sell" results in a whole album that'd be great.

As stated above, we are getting close on a few.

Wow, I can think of a few full albums I would love to play thru. . . or even one of those rare double albums!

I bet the licensing fee for an entire album could be close to astronomical.
