Agree with all the comments about the Pit Viper being a major let down. It's the #1 problem with the game along with a whole host of new riding issues introduced. Technical driving lines are a thing of the past thanks to that bike and for whatever reason any curved surfaces in this game don't work as well as they did in past games and any OPE on the driving line causes the bike to go through objects (something i never encountered in Evo).

@Shifty Regarding the Panda, I don't think it's the actual concept we have an issue with, but rather the execution. Firstly, It's an awkward handling bike with fake wheels. 2ndly in the base game it felt like an afterthought with only a handful of tracks it is usable on. It would be nice if any included vehicles actually had more use in the base game. I understand this is no small ask, but best something be not done at all if it isn't going to be done well IMHO.

No one here thinks making games is easy. But then we are aren't part of a game developer who's job it is to make games are we.
This is starting to turn in to an argument I have with my teenager. "You can do it son". " I can't dad it's too hard".

Plus Trials has no AI and very few character models. That should make it easier right?

Am I wrong, or did UbiSoft have a review embargo in place for Trials Fusion?

It reminds me of this fascinating article I read; I'll post the link below.

If Fusion did have an embargo, can we be given an explanation of why?

    http://www.wired.com/2014/11/assassi...unity-embargo/

Please read this ^ (Pay no attention to Assassins Creed, but more so to UbiSoft embargoes)

Side Note: Pull yourself together Rob!

Edit: Can we also be told when Fusions release date was and when the official review embargo was lifted on Trials Fusion? If memory serves me correct, the embargo was lifted after the release of Fusion.

I don't think anyone here has unreasonable expectations of Redlynx. You're talking to a group of people whose favourite game was probably made by Redlynx - we know what the studio is capable of.

It's not the game-making in question (fmx glitch aside), it's the decision-making.
Like I said, your biggest fans aren't your biggest concern anymore, we're an afterthought and I'm pretty sure we didn't used to be.

the most vocal fans /troll are usually the ones who are there at the end of the games cycle keeping it going on tc . thats what loyal fans did .good look with that this time x

I would disagree. It's not about the biggest fans not being a concern anymore, because what company (RL) would do that. It's not because they add more features to the game, that may be disliked by core fans, that they don't care. It's just a natural evolution of every game these days, and is something that is needed to keep it grow. Trials is already a niche game, I don't see how adding more features to please more people is a bad thing. Or maybe you guys just wanted the Trials franchise to die out with Evo because only core-fans buy it? If that is the case, why not just go play evo then? Or not play at all? Nobody is forcing you to play the game in the first place.

I'm sure alot of the devs working on Trials appreciate every core-fan.

I however do agree that the decision making for Fusion has really not been on par with what I expected at all. But, I also realise devs don't really have a hand in this. Most descisions are made very high up the chain (Ubi), you won't see these people coming to the forum to help out fans and most likely don't even play the game. Things on launch like no multiplayer, broken features is most likely because a publisher descides to release a game in a too short timeframe. You can't blame dev's for not having enough time to polish the game. At least, that's how I see it.

Only thing these last months is nothing but complaints to people who most likely don't even made those descisions and when they are trying to help their fans, they do nothing but post angry posts over and over.

If you want to make statements, don't buy Fusion, ask for a refund, stop playing it. Don't just throw the same nonse over and over on the forum and derail every thread just because 'you' don't like a feature wich doesn't help anyone. If you want to post something, make a constructive thread with descent feedback and back up your statements. That's what being a fan is about, not how many hours you sunk into the game or how many times you go to the forum to crie about what you don't like.

PS: To make sure. I'm not refering to anyone specific with using the word "you". I don't care how butthurt people are about my gerneral statement because I don't care. I just wanted to throw my opinion out there, because that's the only thing it is, my opinion. I don't expect anybody to agree/disagree with me.

PS2: I still love all of you even when I might disagree

I didn't say they don't care, I said we're not the priority. How do you expand a niche game? You make it more accessible, more mainstream & with that, the concerns shift to accommodate more casual players.
Evo was played by well over a million people, far from an underground, indie game - and HD/Evo were my favourite games of all time, why would I have wanted it to end there?

Of course Shifty and Eno aren't making those decisions, and of course we won't see the people who do make them on this forum - does that mean we should just not bother giving feedback/criticism?

You've disagreed with me about us not being the priority anymore, but then agreed with me that the decision-making is the problem - that decision-making is precisely what shows we aren't the priority - that was my point.
Think they had us in mind with FMX? Or with cutting customisation down? Or with scrapping the non-dlc leaderboard? Or with axing the old tournaments? Or with the simpler-to-use Pit Viper? etc etc

Very easy to reply to people who aren't praising RL and call them out for "crieing" or not being constructive or posting "nonsense over and over" or not backing up statements (not sure how I haven't done that) - as far as I'm concerned I have been constructive here - if RL want the tight, helpful, very active community they had for HD & Evo back, then they need to put out a game that those diehard fans can get behind.
Telling me to stop whining or that Fusion is a good game regardless is all well and good, but where is everyone nowadays? Why are the leaderboards so slow? Just why is there so much negativity?

How defensive d'you wanna be man, relax. You don't care because you don't care? Why can't you just enter a discussion without calling out butthurtery in advance? This is a forum, conversations about the game, good or bad, are why it's here.
