Been playing alot of frontier over the last month
With the recent update it looks like the rewards for multiplayer have been seriously nerfed
I can only assume the reason for this was player doing what id describe as "ping pong", where you would go back and forth to build up the coin pool
I understand this being nerfed because perhaps it was not the intention to allow something like this.
Though I do want to point out that when you get the harder tracks (extremes) getting 1 fault for example on melancholy temple the wheel gives you 50, 100, 150 and 200 coins.
I can understand 1 faulting an easy track giving you this little amount of coins but 1 faulting an extreme should really give you more should it not?
Also why has the season prize pool been seriously reduced?
For example achieving rank 1 in the last season added 50,000 to your prize for the season
It now adds a tiny 10,000
Last season you got +50,000 for getting rank 1
This season you get 50,000 for ALL the ranks added together
the reward prize pool for the overall season has gone from 200,000 and 200 gems approx to 51,000 and 35 gems
I can understand the wheel spin system being changed but why was the overall season prizes drematically reduced?
50k coins and 35 gems for a 20 day season?
In summary:
-I can understand the wheel spins being changed, bur 1 fault on extreme tracks should give more for a spin then 200 coins at best
-Why has the season prize pool been reduced by so much?, It almost doesnt seem worth it now. You can get that amount of prize with 3-4 hours regular play in 1 day.

Btw don't get me wrong i love the game, I have nothing but praise for it, I have got really addicted to it over the past month.
But these changes are crazy.
Also as a side question for android users is the person the_hezy a hacker? (The #1 Legend)
He was legend within 2 hours of this season. I have the screenshots to show it because i was playing against him and it ended just after the new season began and he was already legend while i was back to 14
Ping-pong is still alive and well; chip collection was not affected. The pot is smaller so pong its not as desirable to all people though. You COULD pong for coins too but it would require two people who are pretty good (and willing) to barely beat each other while doing plat times. Pretty rare.Originally Posted by TheBlazeJp Go to original post
Partly this is because the new seasons is half the length of the previous season. For the rest.... consider it an adjustment by RL that they might have decided they were too generous the first time; hard to say. Its not surprising that they make some adjustments after their initial rollout of PVP. Clearly they decided that we all got way too much coinage in Season 1, in many ways. Also why has the season prize pool been seriously reduced?

Not a hacker. He learned this trick because it was discovered (and used like the_hezy did) with the new IOS season a few days earlier. Any showdowns started in the last 24 hours of season 1 end in season 2, and therefore count in season 2 ranking. So he started a ton of matches early, in a sense. This is how RL is currently treating the season transitions; he simply took advantage of it. And to his credit..... it could very easily have been harder for him to win those matches made against a ton of season 1 legends, than it would have been to be matched with everyone so tightly ranked together in season 2.Also as a side question for android users is the person the_hezy a hacker? Good point about the extreme tracks giving so few coins for having a single fault. I bet that's a right kick in the teeth for people who struggle with the harder tracks.
Blaze - is your uplay id the same as your forum name? EDIT: Found you so sent you an FR if that's cool?

Try to gimp the experience as much as you can to force spending money.
That's the mindset of any Ubisoft game.
