    Uplay Recommended Drop #34

You know the drill! Each week our team of track players select a group of tracks to step up from local availability to that of world-wide track dominance. Well, at least insofar as being available on every platform that you can play Trials Fusion on. This week bring five freaking awesome tracks into the mix, and I can’t pick a favorite.

It’s a good thing that that isn’t what the Uplay Recommended feed is all about, right? Enough out of me, let’s jump into what tracks we have in the feed this week.

    Chaos by THDTE
Let’s start out this week with a hard track. THDTE has built a track that eschews the future world of Fusion in an effort to build a more contemporary feel, and it totally succeeds. It’s almost exactly what we’ve come to expect from THDTE, a challenging line with some great attention to detail. Did I mention the hand crafted lightning?

Check out Chaos on our video, but don’t pass this one up in the feed.

    Shizebuka by CouPaln GoTiEr
An Asian-inspired pseudo-technical uphill track? I wouldn’t fault you for thinking that I made this selection, but I didn’t. I wish I had, as Shizebuka takes a slew of my interests and mashes them all together into one sweet package. The line isn’t too difficult, but there are a couple of borderline extreme obstacles. All told, I thoroughly enjoyed this track.

We, as always, have a video, but I recommend just playing it for yourself.

    Cool Runnings by ConfusedMuscles
CM brings us a new medium track, and of course I initially selected the Pit Viper. Really, who wouldn’t? I then spent 20 minutes clearly seeing the line I wanted to take, but not being able to do so. So I switched to the Roach and BOOM, 4 seconds faster. I still missed at least half of the shortcuts, but Cool Runnings is a speedrunner’s track that takes us through a frozen world of “Oh My God, quit clipping that ramp edge”. I’m a pretty big fan of this track.

Check out our replay (that does not use my run) and then go see if you can beat 32.777 on the track.

    Lost Temple by Zurgery
Zurgery brings it all to the table in Lost Temple; a fast line, cohesive theme… the only thing missing was a certain “bah bah-dum-bum buh buh-dum” that would have made me feel like I was named after a state. Trials is all about knowing your bike, and this high speed track is all about knowing how fast to come off of the previous jump to set yourself up for the next. 4.5 out of 5 Shogun helmets. I guess I just rated the first Uplay Recommended track, that won’t be a typical occurrence, I promise.

Check out TeriXeri’s video, and go visit the Lost Temple in Indiana on Track Central.

    Scoria by dUBZEE-
What can I say about Scoria? Amazing line, amazing detail, amazing sound… it’s a total custom track package. It’s my humble opinion that this track would fit well with the Fire in the Deep career tracks, as it makes expert usage of a ton of elements that were introduced with the latest DLC. The lava explosions aren’t just there to be there, they actually fit the theme and increase my enjoyment. I wish I could build like this.

There’s a video, but go and play this track as soon as you can.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the Uplay Recommended Trials Track Drop for this week. Let us know what you think about these tracks, and let us know if you’ve seen something that needs to be added to our list.
    Until the next drop….

    Wait, there’s more?

Shogun just told me we’re also putting two new XSupercross tracks into the drop as well, that’s an increase of 40%, all for the low low price of free, and if you act now [removed 2 paragraphs of infomercial text – editor]. Let’s jump in and see what we have in store.

Out of the Frying Pan by Meenie77
As the name implies, there’s some FIRE. I did what I normally do and started with the Roach. I bet you can guess how that worked out for me. After switching to the Pit Viper, I got a bit more into setting a time on the boards than paying attention to the track, but there is an insanely fun line and time savers galore. It’s got the “I’m in a volcano” theme, which works really well with the small details put in.

Get 7 friends to join you in a private match and give Meenie’s track a go.

Red Devils Speedway fix by functastic_
After the shaming that occurred after my DNF on last Friday’s TrialsLive on funktastic’s track, I decided to give it a few more tries. Like 30-40, there’s a nice difficult line that allows you to talk a bit of trash when people aren’t doing as well as you, and there are enough excuses to give for when you’re the one coming up in last.

Fire up MP and give the track a go.

And that, unless I get another message, is the whole ball of wax when it comes to Uplay Recommended tracks for this week.

Lost temple and Scoria on xbone are pretty unplayable, way too much slow down it's like your playing the tracks in slow mo!

Scoria definately causes lag for me too on PC, even on low settings/windowed mode, theres a significant overuse of lights (light blocking) and particles in the first half of track. Great track otherwise, but poorly optimized.

Awsome cant believe i was even second guessing to make an x supercross track , i also have plans to rework a few things in this track eventually really chuffed thanx guys hope you all enjoy it. played the other tracks but not concentrated , just got a little feel for them. All are great tracks a few i find alittle hard to keep a good flow but thats my skill and would imagine if rode correctly they will be pretty awsome.

Congrats guys and thanx for the pick always a pleasure to see them crossplatformed.
