I'm definitely hooked on the game, but there are a couple of frustrations which have become very annoying to deal with. PLEASE fix the object's "USE" zone! When you approach an object and press the interact key to do something, sometimes you have to be just the right distance away from it to actually be able to interact with it.. So instead of running right up to it and interacting with it, you have to sit there and go back and forth until you find the RIGHT distance for it to "diffuse" or "pickup" etc... When you are right in the middle of a firefight and a timed defusing scenario, that makes it incredibly frustrating to deal with. The amount of parameter should start all the way up to an object touching it, and then back to arm's reach away. That whole zone should allow you to interact with something.
Secondly, and not as important, but still frustrating.. I don't need a slow mo kill on every single person I shoot. ESPECIALLY when they get to continue moving at normal speed advancing on me or shooting, while I'm stuck in some slow mo fantasy... C'mon guys, make the whole world slow down with us, or take away the slow mo feature during a kill.
On that same subject note. If I am HEALING myself, ALLOW me to STOP and start firing! As if I am going to continue to wrap the bandage around my arm, or reset my broken finger while a guy stands 2 feet from me pumping me with lead... You gotta make some common sense rules to some of these actions guys..![]()
And last thing, and I promise this one is not a negative... I recently purchased the upgrade with Hurk Deluxe Pack through Steam and it doesn't seem to be appearing in my library. Does this add on actually appear as a separate entity? Or, like Elder Scrolls, is it there, I just need to go to a certain spot on the map to enter it? If so, where on the map is the entrance for the Hurk Deluxe Pack to start the extra missions?
Thanks,![]()
hi this may help answer some of your questions this is taken from the pre order page but the same would apply to the hurk DLC pak as to when the missions show up

*note these will appear as a yellow star on your map screen west of Varkashot (Depluers fort)

*note this weapon is only accessed and used in the arena
Hurk’s Redemption

Harpoon Gun - Available in the shop after completing A Familiar Feeling.
just make sure you have entered in your cd key for the DLC in your u play account
via this method
1. Open Uplay and sign-in with your profile. click the little gear icon
2. Go to Options –> Activate product
3. Enter your activation code
Now your content will be found in the game. if steam has not added it ....it should now
if it does not open your steam games library
right click on far cry 4 select properties
select the tab that's labeled DLC
and ensure everything has a check mark on it and shows as installed .. click close and you may need to restart steam to trigger the DLC to start downloading in some cases
First, thanks to both replies above. Much appreciated.
As for the "activation code", I'll have to check. When I search in Steam's store for Hurk's Redemption, it says, already installed, and then when I hit the "play now" button, it opens up Far Cry 4. So I am assuming it has the code already input??? But I will make sure the next time I am on, that I check. How do I request the code? I would have to search for a month of Sundays to find it in my email now. Can I request that? And if so, do I do that through "Steam" since they are who I bought it from, or do I do it through Uplay?
If I'm being honest, I actually HATE the stupid Uplay competing interface that it believes it HAS TO throw up there and compete with Steam! I liked using Steam as it kept everything nice and neat and in one library. Now, I have Uplay sign ins and Steam sign ins.. Why does Uplay think it has to be so dominant in the scheme of things? No one else minded that Steam controlled the security and support, and it's REALLY annoying!
as long as steam shows its installed you should be good to go
to verify it installed just go to any shop in the game and see in the game and see if the pre order weapons are showing they are part of the hurk deluxe pak
these will be listed under signature weapons
sandman .45 pistol
Driller heavy machine gun
elephant gun
as to the missions follow the guide i posted above as yes you have to complete some other missions until the others appear
also the code thing might not apply if you do not have the season pass.. i have the season pass but check in your uplay anyway under account information
to find any keys steam does not mail em to you they stay in your steam account just go in your steam account under far cry 4 .. look on the right for where it says cd key your keys should be listed there .. those are the keys you want to make sure are entered into your u play client under account
if one is not you need to enter it under activate product
as to Uplay .. i have no issue with it just as i have no issue with origin
but i do like the u play rewards do i wish the game was DRM free .. yes but thats not gonna happen
its a ubisoft title therefor it uses Uplay
also i noticed there was a steam update last night so you should now see your games DLC listed right on your main game page in your library
and additionally there was an up date to the Uplay client today adding a few new features
I don't show those guns yet in my inventory, but I also got all the way to the end and started over. This time I am playing it on its hardest setting, which isn't really that hard...As for the advice on the Keys, thanks, I was not aware of that, and that helps a lot!
I'm sure a lot of people don't mind all the extra stuff they go through to play games, or get awarded points, but there is a very big difference between what we put up with, and what we should have to put up with. I'm a business coach and a small business owner. I always view things from the aspect of customer to company relationship. So being a consumer, you probably don't look at things the same way. I also own a copier dealership, and when I receive a Hallmark card, I don't usually get to the sentimental part of why I got the card, until after I notice it's printing and paper quality, etc..![]()
One of the things that has made me successful is to always be asking "why"...
Thanks again for the information..
