Patch 5 didn't fix SLI neither low quality texture issue for me. The fact that the game is after 3 months unfinished is unacceptable. Still runs better with one GPU so for people with gtx 690 it's barely playable. I'm not gonna go for refund, that would seem not fair since i played the game for some time. but i assumed it would be fixed in time. Everytime i would wait 1 or 2 months before purchasing UBI games to avoid betatesting them for you guys. Didn't work this time.... .I'm not sure if those responsible for PC version also did Ghost Recon Future Soldier and AC 3, if so, there's your problem. All 3 games had horrible optimisation for PC and many other problems. Anyway i'm not buying anymore games from Ubisoft.
I didn't had the problem in none of the previous assassins games.Originally Posted by shezzor Go to original post
Sorry just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean its not thereOriginally Posted by Sonnyfi Go to original postAs I said it's just more pronounced in Unity due to the next gen upgrade (higher detail models, more characters on screen etc..). I can prove it if you like. I'm currently playing through AC2 and AC3 again and its blatantly obvious it happens in those games too. People appear out of thin air, the random clothes change and pop in.
This process is automatic and performed by the game - as long as you are online when starting the game.Originally Posted by DaTraS Go to original post
For everyone else, here's the PC specific fixes [in addition to the others listed in the first post]:
PC-Specific
- Performance improvements
- Fixed various Uplay Actions & Achievement issues
- Minor UI and rendering fixes
- Fixed flickering on NVIDIA SLI PC configurations
Thanks. But they aren't patch notes they are barely a summery and in the case of sli plain wrong. It would be nice to have some real notes saying which known bug has been squished. How perfomance has been improved. Ie fixed texture cull problem, shortened lod, used faster depth cull etc. There is a thread with many bugs listed. It would have been nice to have some of the most well known and frustrating bugs like, the sequence 7 part 3 bug, explicitly rather than having to find out ourselves if anything is fixed or not.Originally Posted by Mr_Shade Go to original post

Patch 4 introduced flickering on certain patches of ground and wall textures, and while patch 5 seems to have remedied this type of flickering, it's now causing the game to flicker in certain areas of the map. As opposed to object flickering, the entire screen now flickers when I walk down a certain street or corridor, and goes away as I move to the next area. But if I walk through the same area again, the flickering returns. Some of these areas of flickering are very small, and some seem to span the entire mission, and it doesn't seem to be affected by camera angle or direction.
Before this patch and the latest Nvidia drivers (347.52), the game in SLI would have object flickering all over the map, and mini-freezes every 3-4 seconds. The new Nvidia drivers pretty much got rid of the mini-freezes, but the frame rate still dips constantly, which is much less annoying but definitely still noticeable.
Companion app was a bridge too far for this game. Good move to turn off the exclusions. Hope there were some lessons internalized from this. Black Flag App was the right mix for adding to the game without appearing as leech like weasels from a Terry Pratchet novel

Greetings, I just finished the 18 quests nightmare to the the Medieval Armor outfit.
For a reminder in addition to those quests you also need to to 3 armor tests in the cave itself.
I found the "agility" test so frustrating on pc controls that I decided to to do that one first, and just skip the rest if it got too boring.
Long story short. As soon as had a lucky run and finished the agility part, the controls for the planet minigame were (and stayed) dead.
So basically I'm now stuck with 18 missions and a test I cannot reset. I'm not on to get overly mad about such things, but considering some ppl out there I would seriously suggest you assign at least one guy to fix that.
Many regards,
zytrel.
