=== the bell tower === really really really

    # Folks.. Get out of the bell tower. Just... Get... Out... Of... The... Bell... Tower... (multiplayer)

If you are any kind of coordinated at all - the bell tower will barely help you. It does nothing for me except make my team lose with 0 points. Believe me, it is a very easy win when it's the other team sitting in the bell tower. I just keep thinking damn... how stupid for reals... they are about to get crushed. Then tah dah... 100 percent for my team.

Maybe some day I won't have to post get out of the bell tower, get points, in the forum because my gaming headset will just work. Still waiting on some USB fixes I'm sure. No I will not mess with a ticket. Send memo to whoever I will not hold my breath. I still remember everybody raging on Ubisoft for the Far Cry 1 patches (and lack thereof) back in the CS 1.3-1.4 days. I am sure there are others like me who never bought another Ubisoft title JUST BECAUSE of how they handled Far Cry 1. I've seen every Ubisoft game when it came out and have always said no thanks, not Ubisoft, not after how they did Far Cry 1. It was a calculated risk to even install this with the free pick title w/ video card gimmick. I waited before I installed and the first thing I saw was the day one patch and all the griping. It was dejavu. If it is just left as it is and hey here's Far Cry 5 guys... Far Cry 4 will be the only Ubisoft title I will ever own.

This game is pretty fun all things considered. Far from perfect. Far Cry from perfect. It sort of reminds me of paintball.

    # Folks.. Get out of the bell tower. Just... Get... Out... Of... The... Bell... Tower... (multiplayer)

Everybody who is good knows who else is good by now. This is not intended for people that already play well or win a lot because they helped cap the flag.

Multiplayer sucks anyway. Why, why in the hell does anyone want or need to know if anyone else is good, or even more important, how they themselves rank against others?

If it was something like a real sport I could understand it (even though I'm no sports fan either), but to concern one's self with how their gaming prowess stacks up against what could be a blob of goo sitting in a chair in his mother's basement gaming 18 hours a day is patently ridiculous.

What others to judge your performance, or judge theirs? Make a difference in the world. Invent something. Improve an existing process to save time and or money. Create your own games, make them better than anyone else, and prove you can do what Ubisoft and the other vendors are incapable of by YOUR definition.

@snagglerake: I'm puzzled man.. why did you keep killing yourself and your teammates yesterday? And what's with all that running around the spawn location without going for the battle? Our whole team was puzzled actually.

As for the belltower, it's a wrong advice. When both team are equal, controlling the belltower usually means an easier win. It is especially true if there are strong players on both sides. When you can see rakshasas on the radar, you can kill them waaay before they can spot you.

Yes, when I play against noobs, I may let them activate the tower to even out the chances, but I only do it if I know that I can go and take the tower back any moment if I want.

Because people like competition. It is mental exercise. It's challenging and it's fun. You said the same thing in another thread the other day and I can tell you have nothing to do with sports. It is an accomplishment and satisfying. Chess is too. Why would anybody play chess? Only computer chess vs computer is entertaining to you too? I've played so many puzzle games on computers for so many years and beat "so many computers" in single player it's just played out. Multiplayer is the only reason I installed this "free game" gimmick that came with my video card. PS4 games like MLB 14, Madden, all that are all fun too. Far Cry 4 has appeal to puzzle solver single player people AND multiplayer gamers. There is no reason for you to say how Multiplayer sucks or try to sway the public into your lonely mindset. Who would care if anon on the internet likes only single player games? Go buy them nobody will stop you. It has absolutely nothing to do with thinking anybody is big and bad or sitting in a basement for 18 hours. All of that are trips in your own mind that you will have to work out for yourself. People play multiplayer --> games <-- because they are entertaining and challenging. Get it? I also do not like to knit sweaters maybe it's just me.

    @ andrey.2004

hehehe sorry man Ubisoft doesn't have their hardware compatibility with USB gaming headsets working perfectly obviously. Yes I do hear your mic and a few others. It's aggravating to have no way to respond via chat or mic. I hope if I blow somebody's truck up it registers as a sign language that we need points. 0 won't win. Every now and then somebody realizes this sign language and will run with me to the flag. People should use single player mode to learn the controls instead of rendering a multiplayer team's efforts futile. I wish my Afterglow's would work, they work on every single other device and game I own and I do have quite a lot. You see I cap the flag right andrey... you see my score is usually top 1 or 2 on the WINNING team right? Do you notice my team wins a lot? I notice how people fare. Ever see me cap the flag? For sure you do not see me snipe from the bell tower ever right? ...Not even to spam rockets on the flag do I sit in the bell tower.

When I am the only one anywhere near the flag for 5 mins straight and every single time I die all 4 teammates are at the bell tower on the minimap... and the round ends with me dead near the flag with 0 points because it was me vs 4-5 opponents solo for 5 mins... like yesterday... it is basically pointless to play. If it is all noobs I will just leave. If it's not I will wait for noobs to leave. It is like playing chess but your opponent doesn't make any moves he just flips a chess piece and catches it til you get up and leave. If you sit down to win, try to win. If nobody on my team is trying to score besides me for a whole round, every match, and I stay, it means I am waiting for the bell tower noobs to leave. Yesterday I would have left but some of the good players (other team) were there so I hoped eventually it would be a good match after player shuffle. If I do nothing I guarantee my team will lose. It's similar to any afk person... your team is at 80% max ability. Often times if I do nothing, I will still end up with top score (kills AND xp) and my bell tower loving teammates may have 0 or 1 kills. I am not talking about new joins. Over and over same thing. I am always watching score. I hit caps lock almost as much as shift. I play for TEAM WIN and do not care about my xp or deaths at all though. The Victory at the end is the goal. I can live with a Defeat that the other team earned. The stupidest games are when your team can not even put 1 point on the board and with 30 seconds left 4 people are at the bell tower. Yesterday it was like a comet hit the earth and rendered my whole team ******ed.

This is not wrong advice. Get out of the bell tower unless you are certain you can not cap the flag without it. Try to cap first. If the other team has one sniper or 2-3 noobs giggling to the bell tower.. you are going to cap the flag to 100% very fast with [full team] vs [their guys who aren't in the bell tower].

If you need the bell tower to win the game you just suck. I never bother with it unless it's a case of one person just spamming rockets to the flag because it's close enough. Even then I will just take him out and go back to capping the flag. I have eyes and ears and I can see and hear just fine without red icons on my minimap.

I do consider the game a likely win if I even see ONE other person who I know is good and is on my team. andrey you are one of those people but there are a couple others who I guarantee with all 5 vets on your team ... vs ... just two of us (I know who you are) capping the flag and 3 of our noobs playing bell tower warriors ... you gonna lose son. I know you have seen exactly what I am saying.

Hope to see you on tonight andres. Far_Cry2_Fan go play tetris or something. Multiplayer is for the big boys who already solved all the Zorks and Quakes and Half-Lifes and Ultimas and blahblahblah singleplayer is weak. I don't buy them on PS4 either. I have 58 mins single player on this .. it was just to check it out and learn the controls. Wassup now though. The blink arrow would make me too OP as would the gun that lobs grenades whatever it's called. Hitokirigamer is a beast with it too. With him on other team and all four of my teammates playing taco bell tower we will get 0 points because you touch the flag you die. That's just one example of get out the bell tower. I can think of 100's. No chat/mic means it's just stupid to spawn and go die on the flag over and over because whole team is in bell tower.

Clearly. Also, Peter Worallo seems like a cool guy, cracks me up sometimes, but the ambient noise I had to mute yesterday. It sounds like you're playing in a nursery.
And iHoneybadger do not count on being healed by me. I might, I might not. You left two of us dead next to you and said on mic "I'm not even going to res you guys". You snipe and I have never seen you sit on a flag. You are useless to my team.

As a general rule it is more important to prioritize getting a teammate up as first importance before you stomp the enemy next to him. The one you get up will likely stomp that downed opponent immediately anyway. I know I do. Do lift up downed teammates even under fire from one opponent because the downed player likely will make it away and knows where they were sniped from.

have fun folks gonna play now come get some.

Ubisoft you got USB issues. Also since last patch (30MB) every now and then when you draw an arrow and mystery event happens... it will loop drawing an arrow. It's a glitch. Maybe once or twice it happens in a couple hour sit down. It started immediately after last patch but again, only occasionally. It wiill get you killed if you are glitching a loop of pulling back arrows.

I take your post to mean you are that blob of goo sitting in your mother's basement begging for the recognition you couldn't get in any other way.

That's OK, I understand it, boys want to be good at something, and if it isn't traditional "man" stuff, it might as well be video gaming.

So, how many ******s have you hit with your video vehicle? LOL, I really don't care to know, I just find it funny you might have thought it mattered for even an instant.

258 posts and 1,624 posts. obviously you two like single player and sitting in the bell tower losing at far cry 4 when you're not trolling forums.

    [Removed. Absolutely inappropriate]

Every single thing I pointed out in the above comment happened again during last night's sitdown. In one match I spawn camped the other team and left the flag wide open to cap for the entire round. Not a point was scored. It was a test to see if they would. I intended to not score 1 point just to test if I was right. Then I got the looping arrow pull glitch that came around last 30MB patch. It was 0 to 1. The other team had actually scored only 1 point. I was going to not score any to see if they even would but I got the arrow pull glitch and couldn't hit anybody so I just crouched over to the flag and got 10 while 100% unable to fire. We won 10-1 while I couldn't even hit anybody due to a glitch. I scored the only 10 points. Only me. My team was busy role playing super warriors from outer space in a forbidden realm or whatever goes through some of your minds. (edit: it ended 7:1, I was killed at 10 but timer got to 7 before round ended.. just looked at screenshot)

Andres was there and actually told our team to get out of the bell tower on mic. I was impressed like wow he gets it now. Then later he called on mic to go to the bell tower because he was the only one there. Nope. Doesn't get it.

We lost twice by 1 point last night. One was because a player stomped an opponent BEFORE helping me up and didn't make it just barely in time. I screenshotted it because I had just made the above comment prior to playing. I don't expect that he read it. With time almost out, I parachuted back to the flag but timer ended right before I landed because I went over by like 1 meter... couldn't slow down. The other game we lost by one point was pure sabotage. I got in a truck to go stop the clock on the flag and a teammate blew my truck up at our spawn... I couldn't make it to the flag in time on foot and the game ended lost by 1 point 28-29. The rest of my team were bell tower and re-spawning.

Screenshots on all this. If you think the bell tower is signficant more than 5% of the time I suggest you stay here and talk with these single player forum trolls for 1600 more posts. I'm outtie.

Do come get some. Glitches and noobs aside, this game is fun. If it wasn't I wouldn't play it. I'll see you at the flag or you can lose in your bell tower. Even if you two above are not hand eye coordinated enough or tactically aware enough to come get some... go marry each other. You trolls can share tangents for the rest of your lives.. Ah, man. Just think how swell that will be.

After starting this thread yesterday I played. I'm not going to take the time to pick which screenshots were 0 points for my team because idiots wouldn't get out of the bell tower and score. There are too many of them. But here is what happened last night when somebody incorrectly thought it was wiser to stomp an opponent before getting his teammate up.

BETTER IS TO PLAY RIGHT AND GET OUT OF THE BELL TOWER LIKE SNAGGLERAKE

You still don't get it snaggle.. do you? Don't look at how noobs play, look at how the top players (hito, badger, gmrjohn, psyfreak, frag3instein, rhyder, etc) play.
As rakshasa, the first thing they do is go for the tower. Once the tower is captured, they go and wipe out everyone at the outpost and keep wiping GP out as they come.
As golden path, a strong player always keeps the tower in sight, while the team wipes out rakshasas as they come (that's why you see rakshasas quit in frustration after a while).

That's not the case when the team is all noobs + one strong player against a team with a couple of decent players.
As rakshasa, even with the tower on their side (guarded by the strong player), the noobs still can't do **** and get wiped out anyway, but if the tower is NOT on their side (if the strong player leaves the tower and goes for the flag), the other team captures the tower and then the strong player is wiped out as well and the team looses.
As golden path, with the tower, you just go for the rakshasa spawn location and wipe them out. Without the tower, a strong player can sometimes hold the outpost against somewhat decent players, but only if the team doesn't totally suck. Otherwise one person can't hold against 5 enemies when the whole team is at the spawn location.

The XP you score doesn't matter either, except the tie in the capture score.
