I was curious if there would be any new tools on their way to the game, obviously not any time soon, but after all the DLC's are done.
Personally there are two things I'd love to see in Trials.
-Co-op create, build tracks with a friend. (Would be good if you needed help, or to build quicker/share ideas on the fly.
-Audio Recording (microphone) - Would be good for a themed track where the player could make choices.
-A way to re-attach the rider to the bike after a bail (say for a Skydive)
Honestly, that's about all I can think of, mostly everything is already in the game.
Audio recording would never happen as it would increase the track sizes like 10 fold or more (tracks are only a few 100 KB if its fulll complexity), rather just see more sounds added, or an object where you could add custom small text on like signs/billboards/arrows (or a code trigger that shows text on screen).
I am too yearning for a specific feature because i´m a replay-addict when it comes to competing with my friends and figuring out where to improve.
I hope this is a simple one too, because maybe one day it´ll be implemented by you guys.
by any chance will it be possible in the future to watch my replay of a track (primarily) and at the same time have an "overlay" of my friends/ a chosen ghost?
(When you´re driving the live track it already shows the ghost, which is great, but whilst playing it is nearly impossible, at least very inconvenient, to fully concentrate on the other ghost and analyse stuff etc. I am looking for a more lean-back kinda opportunity to concentrate on the 2 different driving-lines at once)
Thx for any feedback on this
Yeah, MP create would be pretty crazy, but also tons of fun! Yes, shareplay does work, but it's not a co-op thing. I can't have a friend go build a part while I focus on another section of a track.
As for the audio through a mic, let's be honest here. Little Big Planet 3 has it, if Trials, which is a better looking game graphically by 10x can't have a few audio files there is a issue.
The way track files work is they are basicly text files telling the game where the objects/driveline are in the world, and then they pull the objects from the harddrive's object/sound data.Originally Posted by Archon453 Go to original post
Tracks themself no bigger then like 500kb due to this, providing fast downloads/smooth loading. (complexity meter allows for like 10-11k objects on PC)
I'm all for new/custom sounds/textures/objects & mods but I don't think it would work easily while keeping the cross-platform compatibility & it could encourage glitchers/hackers more.
As for new tools:
-I hope the new game has something like a object/terrain painting tool to alter color/texture, and more polygon based terrain/object modification to alter shapes in more refined ways. (don't see it happen in this current fusion engine)
-Remove the dust when riding on custom colission could help too as it kinda ruins the experience when riding on ramps/solid objects with them. And also add more shapes like multiple scalable ramps & ovals.
Those are great ideas TeriXeri! I really had no idea how the save files were compiled for tracks. So yeah, I guess my idea really won't work.
I've been hoping for a resize tool for any object. I noticed when watching videos of Evolution that they had gotten new tools with some DLC's. So I just imagined that there may be a new tool or two in the works in the last two DLC's.
I do think that a Evo pack with all of the evo editor items would be crazy! But I also bet that with the different engines, it's likely not possible.
