How exactly does this work, btw? I have indeed noticed the final total chip count being substantially higher for both players after having ping-ponged the match - but I don't actually understand why. Are a certain number of chips awarded for each map overtake? The rate at which the chips generate when owning a map still remains the same, right?

when you take over three tracks, first hour of domination gives you roughly 100 chips. if you own three tracks for 24 hours, you get roughly 500 chips. obviously, the rate at which chips generate differs significantly depending on the length of time elapse since track take over. this way, if each riders takes all three tracks and keeps them for an hour before switching sides again, hypothetically each rider makes 1200 chips at the end of the showdown. these amounts can be higher (if you switch tracks faster than once an hour), or lower (if you only do a couple of switches within 24 hours of showdown). hope this makes sense?..

Bear in mind that there are new players this season who started from level 30 and are probably getting in legends league. I would expect those to be more eagered to win. And I play with many good players in all levels. So far for me 15-5.

Not really sure how to quantify the number of new players or how it can affect anything significantly. Nice to see you here though. Making it from rank 25 to legends in this season is certainly possible with enough showdowns, but if all you have done is 20 showdowns so far (15 wins 5 losses? its not rank 15 because that rank doesnt have 5 stars), then I believe you have quite a ways to go and only 10 days left to do it in.

The matching should be pulled from the global leaderboard. It doesn't make sense to use Pvp ranking as it really doesn't have any bearing on how good a player is. That being said season two did seem like the matches were more difficult. At first they seemed easy and I shot from level 14 to level 7 without losing. Then I noticed I was getting matched with impossible to beat players so i decided to wait a few days to let the better players move ahead so I just did 1 showdown a day till they felt easier then I loaded up about 10 at once and blasted to then end.

Not sure too. I saw that last season, bunker was open from XP Level 30 and upwards. This season must be open to everyone. It is really harder to make it to legends since there is less time.
