    Option to Download TC Tracks?

    Greetings,

I asked the question, on the Steam forum, if the option to download tracks from TC, like you could in Evo, would ever be added to Fusion.

    I got this reply;

So the question is would anyone like this feature added?

Edit: Could someone PLEASE fix the Poll layout... white text on a white background is hardly readable now is it....

Voted yes... if you look in the docs folder on PC it downloads some of the tracks... not sure why we can't play them offline though.

And yeah, the poll's white/white thing is pretty annoying lol

I can't imagine someone voting no on this. I even think this "feature" causes issues with favorites dissapearing from the list in a mp private race. Plus why wouldn't we be able to play TC tracks offline, they hardly take any space at all to download, we don't need all tracks on our hdd, but khaving all your favorited tracks would be a must.

And you are correct Grim2ooo, the game keeps like the last 10 tracks you played from TC, but not more for some weird reason.

I'd love to have the game in general function properly when offline, like track downloads playable offline.

But to expand on it, I'd like offline mode to behave seperately from the main uplay account like it sort-of did in Evo Gold, but even more seperate.

Official medal times/leaderboards would still need to be set online to count globally.

But offline mode could say let you use your offline account, to still unlock the tracks/bikes, meaning you can still set times but on a seperate username or indicator when uplay knows it's offline.

No local leaderboard times to be synced with servers as that could induce cheaty behaviour of ppl editing their local data.

I think a large portion of the game already works like this, but not for TC, and I'm not exactly sure how challenges/experience will carry over between offline/online in Fusion.

I don't know how things like challenges when done offline function at the moment, I think they still add to your "level", are they synced with server on next login?

    Example:

I start the game from scratch offline: i unlock the tracks/bikes offline.

I'd still have 0 leaderboard points on the servers until I start playing/submitting times when connected.

Afterwards I go to TC and download some tracks.

Then a new offline session could still play the tracks on your offline account, they just will not sync with TC leaderboards either.

Voted yes... How many times am I allowed to vote?
Until internet across the globe is utterly flawless their should always be an offline option when possible

(And I don't mean in game tracks.. I mean custom tracks as per Evo)

I haven't voted on this - no point. You could get a million votes and it wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference. If Ubisoft haven't decided that THEY want to implement it, it won't be added. We had a major victory in getting them to add MP to single player tracks (and that's not for all tracks, ever, and temporally only for private matches). So we're not going to get anything else that we ask for anytime soon.

Shifty, give me an infraction for " trolling " if you want. I've been making some (truthful) negative posts lately, so surely I'm due an infraction for "trolling" now!? The funny thing is, I, and many others don't care if I/we get banned from this forum anymore. That's how sh...... Bad this forum has become! Even diehard, dedicated fans don't care if they get banned now! Post something truthful yet negative and you're suddenly "trolling." Suuuureee it is!
