    Trouble starting the game....

Last week when I was starting the game, it needed to do an update on Uplay first.
After the update was done the game failed to start.

    Following message came up:

    FC64.dll
File corrupted! This program has been manipulated and maybe it's infected by a virus or cracked. This file won't work anymore.

After I klick OK, nest message came up:

farCry4.exe-programerror The program couldn't start correct. (0xc0000142). Klick OK to Close the program

Anyone knows what the problem may be??

if the FC64.dll is corrupted delete the file

then verify your game files this should replace the file with a working version

info on how to verify your game files can be found here

Exactly the same issue that was resolved in the way WID992007 described:

I have now tried to verify the files. They found som damaged files and I clicked on repair.
But afterwards it says that it could't validate the game...

    It's still not working....

    I don't get it....

Have you removed FC64.dll from the "bin" folder before trying to verify your game files?
    It's location:
    Uplay version: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Far Cry 4\bin
    Steam version: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 4\bin
Of course, if you installed the game on a different drive it will be something else instead of C:\.

If you didn't, find this file, back it up just in case and delete it from the "bin" folder, then perform all verification and repair process again.
Let us know if that helped.
