tech support i think does not answer on the forums in case your waiting on an answer from them
as if ya look at the page it says the following about this forum
Forum to receive technical help from community members, as well as information on new or ongoing issues.
note the community members part ...
the only way i believe to reach them would be by Phone or open another support ticket
i could be mistaken ..but usually the only people that respond , that work for ubisoft are community managers ie forum moderators and they don't have any of the details of your support ticket and they must request tech support to look over and investigate your particular support issue via your ticket number ..hence why with most tech issues they request that you open a support ticket or contact your local ubisoft tech support office
No, i don't want them to reply here, i just want to show everybody what a complete rip-off this game is for me.
I pre-ordered, played it for some weeks (2?!) and then they patched it dead. I don't have a "save" button any more so the game is *COMPLETELY* broken.
I created a support case and the replied with NOTHING and even more NOTHING, so i sit on a full-price purchased game which i am not even able to play?!
I want my money back and will fight for this. You can't treat your customers like that!!!
e: I contacted every admin and associated user in this forum who MIGHT be able to help in this case, i think the only reply came from xMISTY, but that didn't end up changing anything either.... i'm still left waiting with a useless product.
e²: It was Ubi_Jax.
WID, I thought that too, but apparently it's rather same old save corruption...Originally Posted by WID992007 Go to original post
Look at this thread, the symptoms are very similar:
http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...-Fails-to-save
m41Lm4n, if you still have any desire to play this game, look at that thread too and see if any of the suggested tips work for you...
As I said to that guy, if it's indeed a case of corrupted save, the only way they can help you is by trying to analyze and fix your particular save file, but I don't believe they will ever do it for you... I never heard they did it for anyone... With probability of 99.99%, if they will tell you anything at all, it will be something like "we are very sorry, but you will just have to start a new game..."
Please keep an eye on your cases as I reached out to the team in your region. Sorry for the inconvenience. In the meantime, please feel free to try by phone.
Hi, thanks for your reply.Originally Posted by akunamatataa Go to original post
I tried that, of course, but it didn't help. As it looks like a problem with a SAVE file, not a GAME file, i think this feature can't help at all in this case.
My ingame screen is different from what you have posted as well, it just lacks the "save" button: http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...h-1-5-came-out
If I start a new game my problem is gone, but this is NOT a solution. If Microsoft messes up an Update they will NEVER ask you to reinstall your whole Windows OS...
It would all be A LOT less disappointing for me if at least the support guys would contact me in a helpful way, all they asked for until now were some system logs... for a problem which isn't hardware-related at all. I work in an IT system house and we have a support center ourselves - if we would treat our customers like that we'd all be unemployed within half a year.
@Volfbane: Thanks for your reply as well. Sorry, but i doubt it will change anything.
I also contacted Amazon todays because this is the place i bought the game, asking for a refund. I left them my phone number and i BET they will call within the next three days.
To anyone having similar problems: If you live in the EU (as i do), we have laws who protect us customers when we buy a faulty product. If UBISOFT doesn't care of them there are ways to make them do. First step: Contact the retailer you bought the game at. State you have contacted UBISOFT to fix the problem but they didn't react properly. Ask for a FULL refund.
In germany, there is a so-called "Verbraucherschutzzentrale" (I'd translate it with something like "customer advisory board") which can be contacted in cases like this as well.
It's really ridicolous that I even have to think about such steps, but it shows what kind of company UBISOFT seems to be. Pre-Order a UBISOFT game any more?! LOL!
