    You'll be asked to prove it because nobody here ( apart from me) will believe you

Send me a PM of how to make a high res video without paying for it, as Fraps only allows 30 seconds for free
    I've seen lots of users on varius forums with no stuttering problems so your talking rubbish if you think I'm the only one.
    'Inane' may have been a little harsh, but so was the church in exiling Galileo for being right.
    First of all, a video of your gameplay would be of no utility, since the framerate of content is normalized during transcode, and frames are captured before they are displayed. I'm not asking you to do this, but this is what probative documentation looks like: http://tinypic.com/r/fvurfq/8

    Notice the periodic spikes in frametime; that specific span of gameplay reflects about 40 mistakes over the span of 1200 or so frames. Even if you lack the stutter the gameengine elicits on other systems the same as yours, framerate variability that you describe, oscillations within 85-110, wouldn't produce a smooth experience. For motion to be smooth, it must be consistent. Secondly, if you are generating those framerates, you are not synced to your monitor's refresh-rate, meaning there is rampant tearing present in your gameplay, another artifact many will not tolerate(if you have a Gsync display, I retract this prior statement).
    Like I said before, you are entitled to your observations. They are simply counter-productive in this setting.

    I've seen people play it that have stuttering but don't even notice it. I play it on my rig which should have no stuttering and it stutters/hitches all the time and makes the game unplayable. I also have yet to see anyone play that doesn't have stuttering at all (sorry Izzy but it's too hard to tell with the video at 480p) but if they don't have the issue GREAT that means some of the fixes from Ubi have helped optimize the game for specific rigs. I will say that the stuttering did decrease a little after patch 1.5 or 1.6 but it's still nauseating to me.

    Ubisoft has acknowledged that another patch is coming like I mentioned (where they say the stuttering fixed and 16:10 support is coming) so if you still have the issue, just keep posting here and make sure you submit a service request.

    As predicted my video does not display my actual gaming experience, my son & his mates have all agreed it runs super smooth regardless what a graph of the video might show. I had to set the FPS to 40 & Lower the quality as my first recording ended up over 3Gb. My 3D monitor runs at 120Mhz
    There is no tearing whatsoever, !!
    If someone has the same rig as me & they get stuttering i would like to see a video, in fact any of you on this thread who complain of stuttering then show me a video as i want to see how bad it is

    What does it run like with just one 980?

    Edit: just noticed on your earlier post that it runs bad with one 980 also. Something is really weird here because regardless of what your all telling me mine does not stutter, it's 100% playable. I have 16Gb ram & lower CPU that is the only difference

    Please Ubisoft, I beg you. Just please please do something about it. I still do find the stuttering present and I find it enough to stop me from enjoying the game.
    I load the game up after each patch, just to see if it's finally fixed.. but alas it is not. I have even reinstalled Windows 8.1 completely, upgraded my PC, done every tweak there is but the stutter still remains.
    I have tried fresh installs of the game multiple times as well.
    There are also still black bars with 16:10 which I have trouble believing Ubisoft aren't just ignoring it on purpose to spite PC gamers. It's been almost a quarter of a year guys. If you are finally going to fix it in an upcoming patch, why not tell everybody about it rather than just a few people in support tickets? Give us an ETA or something. Give us something to look forward to.

    It's just poor overall optimization by Ubisoft and not really surprising as they have had the worst year ever with poor releases. Assassins Creed Unity, Watch Dogs, FC4. All AAA titles that have released in the trailing 12 months with major game-breaking issues.

    I've mentioned it before but I think they are simply hurting for cash and releasing products early hoping they can get by with using the player base as their test bench so they can meet quarterly revenue goals. One can only guess what the issues are internally that are causing them to not be profitable if that's the case but I just can't believe they are releasing games like this for any other reason then attempting to make the books look good and relying on cleaning up the mess afterwards with the customers.

    Regardless, I wouldn't be wasting my time on here if I didn't have the issue...I love the Far Cry franchise and just want to play the game. What really blows my mind is how FC4 is so similar to FC3 and we are still having these issues. The game is more of a facelift and it's not like gaming hardware has made any significant leaps in technology that would cause the issues. My rig is far beyond capable to run this game maxed and I do so with other games that are way more demanding without any issue. Hell, FC3 had 16:10 support but now I have to play FC4 with letterboxes and stuttering to boot....how is that not their number one performance concern to address anyway, especially after AC Unity and Watch Dogs. I just don't get it.

    Some of the issues others experience that I don't are: crashing, co-op issues making it unplayable, flickering shadows/textures, not being able to complete missions, etc. It's really not surprising a rig with lower specs then mine or that simply has some ram and cpu differences which are less then trivial would perform drastically different. It's just poor optimization.

    I have mentioned on other posts that I did have minor stuttering before I upgraded from a Q6600 & GTX580 but it was always very playable on a mix of medium & high settings, still not had a crash or any graphical anomalies worth mentioning.
    The only game my previous rig could not handle was Wolfenstein new order which ran like a dog & it stuttered something awful.
    I might reload it & try with my new kit

    I have zero studder as well. Smooth as a babies bottom. My specs are
    Core 2 duo E7900 2.93gz
    8 gigs of slow *** ram at 800mhz
    and a Powercolor R9 280X PCS OC edition running on a Old Gigabyte MB with only PCIe 1.0
    And yes it runs on dual core, you need to inject a dualcore dll at game start.

    I didn't have to do this, but you can and try to fix your studder by:
    Open your GamerProfile.xml file
    Disable mipmap by changing
    DisableLoadingMip0 = "0"
    to
    DisableLoadingMip0 = "1"
    Set you max GPU buffer by changing
    GPUMaxBufferedFrames="0"
    to
    GPUMaxBufferedFrames="1"
