BTW, doing the fender grab on You Shall Not Pass is neither necessary nor was it intended by the track designer. It was probably just that one obstacle where people started exploiting the game's physics that way because it's way more consistent than doing it the intended way - a super precise and difficult 'switch jump'.
Yes, and somebody said that the fender hook in the track they were referring to was also not required to pass it. My argument remains that fender hooks are not outside the realm of difficulty that extreme obstacles have.Originally Posted by Haruspex Go to original post
I assure you its alot more than 50 people, or at least half of the active population of Fusion that plays customs regularly regardless of platform. Just because 50 people are able to pass it doesn't mean there isn't more than that who attempts to pass it.Originally Posted by funktastic- Go to original post
Lets say, someone builds a good level 1- just as hard as You Shall Not Pass- and it doesn't get the recognition it deserves across other platforms even with majority vote. Its one thing when you don't feature a track because someone left in the option to ride all bikes wherebouts only the viper/roach is only possible to pass the track, but entirely another thing when a track is featured based on how many riders are simply able to pass the track. I honestly would say i think it is a little bit arrogant on RL's part, given the fact that the guys in your office don't formally recognize anything higher than extremes because it isn't an 'official' difficulty nor giving ninja tracks enough respect to at least have their own feed. Just another one of the example where the minority gets the shaft, genuinely speaking.
Im almost positive that 99% of the community would be willing to give up 1 of their 4 'Make your own' feed to be replaced by something like newest ninja track/highest rated ninja of the week/month, and what have you. I guess i just dont understand why Redlynx continues and persists to justify their own 'unwritten' rule that ninjas have no 'official' place in TC when everyone is okay with expanding its own recognition into something a little more formal.
Edit- i hope that my post doesn't come across as bit of crass, just wanted to add my 2c to the discussion, respectively.
It IS strange that we dont got a ninja-feed and at least one ninja crossplatformed each week.
Redlynx certainly know, understand and obviously appreciate ninjas.
this is from redlynx homepage:
"In Trials HD, no name was better known in the Ninja community than that of Malachyte. Mal, as he is known on the RedLynx Forums, took it upon himself to not only create a website listing each Ninja track that the community found, but also to play and record a replay for every single one. Ninja tracks did not stop with the release of Trials Evolution. If anything, they began a new life as track sharing was no longer dependent on inclusion on the track creator’s Xbox Live friend’s list. Hundreds of Ninja tracks now sit on Trials Evolution’s Track Central feeds, waiting to challenge and defeat the vast majority of those who try to take on their insane driving lines.
To show our appreciation to the dedication of these players we have put together a special edition Ninja track showcase video in the style of the New on RedLynx Picks videos. Players beware; these tracks are not for the faint of heart!"
Exactly my thoughts. Often you see high downloads but very low % of that actually finished it, and because it's a challenge, people who do manage to finish most often like it.Originally Posted by Rudemod 69 Go to original post
-Seperating normal tracks including Extremes from the real ninjas.
-Making ninjas easier to find for the people who want to play them, as well showcasing the ninja builders better.
-Keep Ninjas completely out of highest rated weekly, add a highest rated weekly ninja.
I wouldn't even mind a uplay ninja once in a while, just make it on a seperate timeline then the standard/XSX, like 1 ninja drop a month?
Maybe add Uplay ninja and Uplay X-supercross tile feeds to keep the releases seperate.
Hey fleskeknoke, it's been a while since I wrote that. We at RedLynx absolutely acknowledge the Ninja difficulty for what it is. It's an additional difficulty level pioneered by the community to showcase tracks and skills that are well advanced of that of most Trials players. The Ninja community are some diehard players who have spent the controller time to have nearly mastered all aspects of the bikes and know how to get the bike to do what they want.
While we do not list Ninja tracks in difficulty levels, nor are there dedicated Ninja tracks in the game, the inclusion of Ninja versions of the extreme tracks are our acknowledgement, in game, of this group of highly dedicated players.
We have plans in regards to Ninja tracks, but that's really all that can currently be said on the subject.
it was a long time since i was reading that, i thought it was really cool.Originally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post

right..i actually forgot about them hidden tracks.... hmm ..now i want to draw some hasty conclusions about the plansOriginally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post
and guess/hope that these tracks will be released normaly with leaderboards and all.... that would be sweet.
You(redlynx) will not loose anything by adding a ninja feed and crossplatform the hidden in-game tracks as a start..,
i can only see that this will add interest and open some eyes about this difficulty,
I myself got most intrigued when i started to dig around in the EVO ninja-forum and realized what amazing things could be possible,
i really dont think i would have played evo/fusion so much if it wasnt for that goal to try to reach.... being able to pass, at least some, ninja tracks.
Also... people are getting better and better, level 1 and 2's are a natural next step for extreme riders that want to up their game
Now that's something to look forward to.
I agree about a separate playlist. It benefits all players/builders. When I released my legendary "AJ's Playground CP 1" and saw it higher rated than plenty of well-made tracks, I realized how flawed having ninjas in the same feed is. Less people are able to pass those tracks, but those people are the type to base their vote on CP/track quality. Most people can pass beginner-mediums, and that includes the type of people who will base their vote on it's boring/too easy/all kinds of random nonsense that you can't expect to please them all. Because of this, ninjas were always more prone to being at the top of the feed.
