Next time I gift I'm going to make a note of the time. I'm sure I gifted people about 6 hours ago and I still can't gift again. It's definitely not 3 hours though.

I have the same problem. I'm sure I gifted at about 11am, it's now 6:20pm and I still can't gift again...

I had the same problem as a lot of people. Uplay wouldn't connect. I had already beat the Terracotta guy when I read that I needed to reinstall to connect to uplay, so I had to beat him again after reinstalling, which sucked. It seemed to be working fine apart from that. I loved how much easier it was to gift people with the update, but that was last night, and today I found that I can't re-gift anyone. It says gift sent next to all my uplay friends and it hasn't put back the option to gift again. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm playing on an iPad 2.

Edit: I've read more of the comments in this thread now and it looks like I'm not the only one with this problem. It has been almost 12 hours since I gifted.

I didn't realise Dumptruck had put it in his post originally, I thought it was a change made after the update release, but now I think I was wrong. I notice Dumptruck said we can regift every 3 hours, which should take the edge off of the ticket reduction. The only problem is I gifted 5 hours ago and still can't gift again...

yesterday morning, i re-installed the game after i updated it, because i couldn't connect to uplay and there was no logout option. it was before i read the "solution" on forum.
and after that it still showed x/5 golden tickets, even after a few times game crash.
and i started to get 3/3 this morning.

For some stupid reason I kept thinking that I needed to beat the final Terracotta guy before I could get the Cornelius suit. At first I thought no way would I be able to beat him as I didn't have maxed out bikes and my speed bike couldn't make that long hill jump. Then I decided to check out ghost riders that had similar bikes and sure enough there was a person that had finished with a great time. It didn't take that long to compete with the ghost rider to finish the race while being competitive. Of course racing the ghost rider doesn't count against beating Terracotta. I went in thinking I can do this.

It must've been 45-50 minutes later but I was finally able to beat that bastard and my fingers hurt. Not looking forward to trying that again on Android. The bad thing is no squirrel suit payout but at least it isn't hard to get if you have enough gems and friends for gifting.

I'm wondering if they're unifying gifting for Android and IOS. I have people listed from both when clicking on the new gift box near the top but when you try to gift someone that's on Android it says 'Network Error'. Hoping it can be done on both platforms from one place.

its been over ten hours since i was last able to gift tickets. i can gift fuel though.

Ok I think gifting tickets is once every 12 hours and gifting fuel is once every 3 hours.
