what happened to the custom tracks in the tournaments?
i dont see any custom tracks at all, are they removed or....
Also wonder why show extreme tournament when it has 3 beginner-2 normal-2 hard and just 1 extreme track.
To me an extreme tournament should only be filled with extreme tracks
And hard tournament with hard tracks.. dont you agree?
Yeah I liked the custom tournaments as well, tbh I'd even could suggest like things like add:
A 4th tourney for custom tracks.
A 5th tourney rotation for a pick of DLC tracks:
-could be a handful of the same DLC to keep the theme the same
-or just a complete mix of all DLC for variation
-or both of the above in the mix
I actually like the mixed difficulty on the 3 base-game tournaments, but it should be more defined.
As far as track order should be, I personally like to start with the easier stuff and the hardest tracks for last (also gives the most accomplishment/pressure on the player imo)
beginner+easy+medium (with more emphasis on the easier tracks but also 1 medium)
medium+hard
hard+extreme
Hey Smilies, I thought the same thing when we were doing the initial tournament listings, but Karri and I had a discussion and he explained it all to me, and I'll paraphrase I remember from our conversation:
Because of the way that tournaments work we can't/won't just use randomly generated DLC selections, nor would that work well in implementation. There are many tracks that don't have medal times set, and don't have difficulty set. We create tournaments "by hand" and weigh the difficulties when we play the tracks back to back.Tournaments are sets of tracks, the difficulty of those tracks are known. That doesn't mean that a tournament that contains only hard tracks is a hard difficulty tournament. When you make players ride faultlessly through multiple tracks, the difficulty is compounded. A tournament that contains 5 medium tracks is a hard tournament because of the amount of riding at a specific level that must be accomplished. A tournament with 3 extremes (other than being too difficult for most players) would be labeled extreme. Another tournament with 1 medium track and 3 hard tracks can also potentially be an extreme tournament.
I don't think a DLC rotation, or any tournament track list for that matter, that it has to be "random", hand picked is very understandable and more balanced.Originally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post
But right now there's 0 DLC tracks in the listing so I suggested a 4th feed with a tournament of a selection of tracks of the same DLC that rotates in order.
I think a themed tournament would be the most logical, like 2 or 3 track lists per DLC, and then rotate them in order:
Rustland > Sky > Abyss > Fire > (Fault 1-0) > (Incident) > Rustland > Sky > Abyss > Fire etc.
It would at least add some more variation, even if custom tracks won't work for the time being.
Lets not forget that this would then also mess up the end of the year round up of tracks being highlighted as the best of the year because of the playing amount and grinds( if you call it that ). There will be a distinctive advantage to ones that will be within the tournaments and ones that are not.so it owuldnt be a true reflection
Yes can you please bring back the custom track tourneys? And add some DLC tourneys as well please.
There was a simple fix for the ugc tournaments crashing.
I just added every track to my tc favorites first before i started the tourney.
When they were in my favs i was always able to play them.
I tested it by removing 1 UGC tournament track from my favorites and as soon as i reached that track in the tournament, it would crash.
