Please, to put this to rest, read this.
Can this be done with now?A video game developer is a software developer that specializes in video game development – the process and related disciplines of creating video games.[1][2] A game developer can range from one person who undertakes all tasks[3] to a large business with employee responsibilities split between individual disciplines, such as programming, design, art, testing, etc. Most game developer companies have video game publisher financial and usually marketing support.[4] Self-funded developers are known as independent or indie developers and usually make indie games.[5]
ozy - Markus Persson, well known for Minecraft, has no game development degrees. He literally took less classes in regards to programming than I have. By your definition, the creator of one of the most widely played games should not call himself a game developer. I can not agree with your definition.
Regarding anyone as "the guy who sweeps the floor" is not an accurate parallel to any of the jobs that anyone at RedLynx has.
Then Markus Persson is indeed not a qualified Game Developer, He is a guy that developed a popular game... by definition!Originally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post
I did not say anyone was a floor sweeper Shifty, thats not fair, It was simply an analogy that could have used anything as a reference.Originally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post
From me? certainly,Originally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post
I simply offered an explanation as to why the other side of the coin might not see things as you do,
If you are unwilling to even try to understand that... Yes, Done!
Sorry I bothered...Respectably, or so I thought.
That's cool, I didn't realize Shogun was also involved with that.Originally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post
Again, I'm not saying anyone doesn't deserve their job with UbiLynx.
And the line between "trolling" & "speaking your mind" is only as thin as your skin is.
I love how recently "trolling" has become like a safety net, or parachute that can be conveniently deployed by moderators... I mean, forum developers.Originally Posted by RoguishRonin Go to original post

Yeah UbiLynx, all we want is some transparency, unless... you have something to hide..?
I wasn't attacking anyone, or their job.Originally Posted by lxoblivianxl Go to original post
I just want to know if technical questions about game development are being answered by the guy that sang the "Welcome to the Future" theme song.. Which apparently would be considered a developer around here.
Yes, our in-house sound designers are most certainly considered Trials Developers. Have you ever played a game with no sound? How does that compare to a game that HAS sound?

These are all aspects of the game that are/were worked on by people that, according to some of the posts in this thread, are not developers. That is completely ludicrous. I do not have time to list specific details of what was worked on by everyone, nor should it be necessary.
That's really all there is to be said on the subject.
