hi, i have a problem with all the games that use ubisoft uplay.
i bought a new motherboard (Z99-UD5) processor (i7 5930K)
and video card (titan z) i also switched windows from 7 to 8.1 pro 64 bit
On my previous computer it worked perfectly and now farcry and assassins creed black screeen when i try to launch them
i tried the pitch 1.4, 1.5, 1.7 all three did not work
All my drivers are up to date, I unplugged all USB connections and erased all of their drivers
the games CD are original
what else can i do to get my games working and how can i contact them to help me?
Thank you
When you say ALL my Drivers are up to date... did you update them via Windows Update or via Nvidia Experience? what about your Sound drivers, did you download the newer version from manufacturer or from the original CD that came from your motherboard?
Black Screen usually comes from Corrupt and/or OLD drivers... notice that I used the word "Usually". I take it that you also installed these games fresh after you installed Win 8.1. I ask this because some people try to do this by leaving the games on the secondary drive and trying to play from there.
Well... therein lies the problem.Originally Posted by tzahi Go to original post
You may have bought the Motherboard today but it was probably made 2 years ago so the drivers are also 2 years old... as an example, don't you go getting miffed by it
Do Not Check the site, Never check the site... Always check via Manufacture (ie: Nvidia or AMD) and most of the time Realtek for Audio Drivers. Get/Download the latest drivers for your OS, save to a temp folder, uninstall the ones you have now, restart, use Ccleaner to clean registry from remnants of old drivers and then proceed to install new ones with Elevated Admin Rights (I know, what? just a big word for Right Click on the Exe file and Use Admin Rights to install)
OH and + 1 on what Frag said... that you can check the website of your motherboard but if you don't know what you are doing I recommend staying away from updating BIOS as you can Nuke the whole ball of wax.
Well, glad you installed FC4 after installing of Windows, otherwise the alternative would have been just, erm, well... I have no words
Anyways, recap... check the bold statement and Good Luck
That is SOOOO yesteryear. Most MB manufacturers have been making MB BIOS updating easy as pie for several years now with tools like ASUS' EZ Flash where you merely DL the update to your PC, boot into the BIOS, select the tool, and it finds and installs the update for you.Originally Posted by GiveMeTactical Go to original post
You're just needlessly making him paranoid.
