    Thanks for a great game!

Finished playing Far Cry 4 today and unlike many posters on here, it was not only enjoyable, but bug free. I've not been into gaming for many years, but played Far Cry after getting a 'free' game with new graphics card (msi 970) when I had a new computer built by Cyberpower. Performance has been faultless and I can honestly say I've never played a better game, with fantastic graphics (and maybe a story line that leaves a little to be desired). My only criticisms - and they are more observations than criticisms - is that eagles are annoying little b*ggers, and rhinos must have been supplied with slippers, they come up behind you without as much as a sound.

No one, I mean no one has a completely bug free experience. At the very least everyone has the river bottom location that will not clear from the map. There are likely other small ones as well for most. One could say even just the save system in general is buggy and not working as intended.

I agree though, most of the complaints seem overblown. I also find this latest insistence from a handful of players that Far Cry 2 is the best game in the series, implying Far Cry 3 and 4 are crap and that they should revert to the FC2 style, is a bunch of hooey. Where were they when Far Cry 2 was released and most were trashing it for the many problems it had?

The Eagles being annoying however, I think about 99.9% of players agree on.

That said, I don't find Rhinos to be quiet, not even when walking slowly. Perhaps your sound system is not lending well toward such details.

I've also had a relatively bug free game, apart from the sunken lorry bug & also a similar one under a wooden bridge I've had no other permanent bugs at all, never had a single crash or lock up either.
I did have no sound on one loading but a restart fixed that & also a couple of minor key bindings that also fixed on a restart. I've played from day one in offline mode & recently with cloud synch permanently off as well. 9/10 from me

I totally agree. Although I prefer Far Cry 2 for some reasons Far Cry 4 is pretty much the best game I have ever played. That's not to say it is perfect but nothing is ever perfect. I kinda feel that if I visited Nepal I would feel right at home as long as I had an anti - eagle hat.

Yeah, a good game all right but unfortunately flawed here and there. I still like FC2, but pity about the re-spawning outposts... cantcha fix it someone?!

I enjoy it too! Almost bug free, but a couple of bugs for me. Still very playable, though!

I also have not been into gaming in many years and got Far Cry 4 with my GTX 980. I agree on it being the best game I've played with amazing graphics:

The picture above is from South Africa's Kruger National Park... or is it from Far Cry 4? haha

Well if it were a poacher and he started skinning it, we'd know for sure, because skinning animations are one area where the game is pretty lackluster graphically.

Gee, how many years has it been since FC2, 6, 7 ??? Certainly a different set of folks to a degree, and now, a comparison can be made to what u-b-soft came up with following FC2. Theme songs for both FC3 & 4 should be "I want to hold your hand".

From an experienced o/l gamer, a number of points that are on target regarding the subject of FC2 compared to what's followed IMHO.

But credit is due where credit is due - the F11 key now having been added to vanilla FC4 to turn off the HUD!!
