I'm curious, how many of the top guys are using the touch screens and how many are using controllers. I only have 2 bikes fully upgraded and I'm missing just 3 plats (Alpha Street, Balance Avenue and Dark Machine) and I'm still in the top 100. The only problem I have with the touch screen is a lack of actual buttons. On Daredevil's Paradise there are a lot of jerky, nuanced maneuvers you have to do right from the get go. I kept drifting off the buttons halfway through and took me forever to ace it because of that, it was very frustrating. Plus that kind of track makes my thumbs sweat like crazy. I like the challenge though, so I just want to know if a controller makes it waaay easier or is just a matter of preference.

The game itself doesnt support controllers; just those emulators (for Android). Virtually everyone is using the touch screen. There may be controllers that work for the phone, but really good odds they dont work (or work well) on this game.

Personally, I am much worse on a phone; much better on a larger screen (ipad). Moving the controls around helps, but in the end... a phone is just too small a space for my fingers.

That´s incorrect mate!! the game is not fully supporting controllers but you can play it with a XBOX controller. i didnt tested it myself but you can acceletare, brake and lean with a controller, at least on Android
you can watch TheBlaze playing Frontier on his tablet and using a dpad >>> here

I´m way better on my nexus 5 than on my 10" tablet, probably because im used to it.

The only thing I'm aware of is called a game pad. It connects to the phone and has a similar layout as various controllers.
Tottaly agree with you, it's a smartphone game, not a xbox/PS4 game !!

I've tried my Xbox 360 and Xbox One controller on my Samsung Galaxy s5 (Android) and they didn't work for Frontier.

WTF. controllers? Why don't you guys just hack the game. play the game as it was designed. Or else just hack it because your times mean nothing!

    Wired or wireless controller?
For wired controllers you need an OTG adapter.
For wireless controllers you need a microsoft wireless gaming receiver for PC.

I'd suggest you to talk to TheBlazeJP.

    Calm down!!!
The game recognizes joystick inputs so it's designed to play it with controllers, at least to ride, maybe that´s how they are testing the tracks... no idea..
