    Pagan Min's Fortress

Can Min's fortress be taken before you kill him? I've taken over his fortress twice by killing all the soldiers and not setting off any alarms and neither time does the game say I've completed the task. If I leave the area afterwards, everyone re-spawns like nothing happened.

I have seen some confusion on the town on the way to mins house being called his fortress vs the fortress to the east of there. The one to the east, north east corner area on the map, is one of the 4 fortress that you can take over. The one on the way to his house re spawned enemy on mine even after beating all of them there and going on to defeat min. But if you are talking about the north east fortress then no they shouldn't re spawn. Dose the screen go into the normal psychedelic mode after you kill the last guy?

I'm talking about the one called the Rajgad Gulag, with the pink castle fortress icon. No, I don't get the psychedelic colors, so I know that I'm not going to get the final completion scene. Is there a dog or some other soldier hiding somewhere? I've been inside the prison cave section and didn't see any enemies in there either.

I have not defeated min on my second play through yet so this weekend I will go give it a shot just like you are and see what happens. If you don't get the screen change there must be a lurker somewhere. I don't remember dogs like at yumas fortress there but maybe. Take a hunting syringe and look all around. If the screen does not change with the last kill you will not get it.

If you have successfully taken the Fortress you will get a call from Amita or Sabal congratulating you, plus Golden Path fighters will come inside the fortress.

Well, NOW I got it, but only AFTER I killed Pagan and the Golden Path said the the fortress was weakened. There's no dogs either. Hell, I got it 2 times before I killed Pagan without breaking a sweat, but then, no credit. All I wanted was to get the Ripper, but if I can't take down the fortress before killing Pagan, that kinda sucks. Now that I've played to the one sucky ending, I guess I'll have to play through a second time and NOT kill Pagan, at first. But then, if I can't get that last fortress without killing Pagan, then it seems I can't get the Ripper. Choices, choices.

Cool. You wont want to put the buzzsaw down for the ripper anyway, but yes you will want to get it just to get it.

Pagan´s fortress can also be conquered before you kill him . If you diden´t had it conquered you simply diden´t killed every last enemy in it or you maybe was snipering and was to far away to activate the animation "fortress conquered animation" with those colorful animations .

Unfortunately, I've encountered this too. The answer actually lies in what is a relatively small notice that you can't take the fortress until the leader is dead. The first time I played the game, I made a B line to Yuma's fortress as soon as I got access to the North. I took that one at least three times before I caught the notice. The odd part is the other two fortresses in the south. I take those two every time before I've even done story stuff with no issue.

After posting in this thread yesterday I went and did this this morning. I have not defeated min yet on this play through and I took this fortress in 1 attempt just like any normal outpost or fortress takeover. The screen changed and the golden path arrived just like normal after the last guy met my buzzsaw. I was in a hurry to test this before work so I just flew right in and landed my buzzer next to one of the upper snipers and started going at it with the buzzsaw and m79.
