Problems in game... I am going crazy.. Please help!

Sorry if there is other problems like this, but I searched and couldn't find the threads.

Once the game has loaded, the mini map, health, etc... all the things on screen have dissapeared.
Also, I have to re holster all my weapons.
Also, my wing suit and parachute don't work.

I am tearing my hair out over this as I just cant seem to figure out what the issue is.
There are probably more issues but I cant play with the game in this state as I am too annoyed.

I cant remember the last thing I did, but I believe I am very close to unlocking the bridge to the north.

ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated... I really don't want to have to re install the game as I have been doing it properly and completing everything.

    Thank you

before you reinstall why not just verify your game files ?

To verify your files if you bought the game thru Steam

go to your Steam games library

right clik on far cry 4

    select properties

    select local files

select verify Integrity of game cache

it takes a few min to do but its faster the redownloading your entire game , if its only a few files that were corrupt or installed incorrectly .... this in many cases will fix your problems getting the game to start

If you have the U play only Version of the game you can also verify your game files with U play

if you have / own the game via u play only

here are instructions how to verify your game files thru their client ..look to the bottom of the page for Verifying a Game's Files in Uplay

    Cheers again

the pc should handle it fine, it has done for the first 51% of the game. it was built a few years ago and i play bf4 and a few other good quality games.

that is ofcourse unless there is another reason?

You say it played the first 51% okay, so that means something changed. Just gotta figure out what.

It does meet the minimum specs, but is still at the low end of the scale.

Make sure you have all the latest drivers, however, not many of the nvidia updates will apply to a card that old.

Make sure no other process are consuming resources in the background.

Do you have the Geforce Experience installed? If so, run it and have it optimize the game for you. That should give you the best results. I don't know if it will optimize the 560ti for this game, but it is worth a shot. Also it can tell you if there are newer drivers available.

    ...then...

Maybe you did get a driver update and the problems started then. Sometimes updates don't always work best for all systems. If the problem did start after a recent nvidia driver update, then try going back to a previous driver version. I have had to do that few times on other games.

While this may not be the issue nor it will help with your problem, it can't hurt either... Download fresh drivers for your audio and video, uninstall the old ones, restart and install the new ones.

Also, check the version of the game in the Main Menu, UBI could have done you the favor of installing a new update and this botched pretty much everything you have now, it would not be the first or last time this happens, Rule of thumb when it comes to ubi auto update? Do it yourself manually and never allow them to do so... many a headaches I have avoided by following this small tid bit of a rule. Your miles may vary of course and you have never had problems before so to each his own.

If you want uninstall the latest patch to see if that resolves your issue. Make sure you save your SavedGames Folder so you have a back up.

    Good Luck

I had no idea one could manually update a ubi patch.

Can you mention briefly, or indicate a link of how to do that? I continue to use patch 1.5 in complete off-line Uplay mode (I am not using Steam).

    Thanks

I usually google the patches, in this case... Far Cry 4 patch 1.XX, there are usually plenty of places that have them then you save them and install manually.

And yes, Using Uplay offline is the best thing if you don't want to have botched saved files.
