    track editor / bust

    Hi i wasnt sure if this should go elsewhere but thought it needs attention asap

    after working on my track for 3 hours last night i was unable to save the work i had done because every physic just completly stopped working. This seems to be a problem more and more.

    I hope this get the attention its needs and not put aside for 7 months and we just keep loosing any data. Things crash all the time within the editor and i understand its a complex programme but this new problem is a massive one and can stop anyone progress in making tracks

    Were you using physics in X-Supercross Editor mode? It doesn't behave properly in that mode at the moment, as does any on/off events, trigger resets and bombs/area forces. (see the old beta threads).

    If it was in Trials or other mode , I don't know and sounds like a different issue.

    Sorry, but I couldn't quite figure out from your post what exactly happened, how, on which platform and how you couldn't save?

    I've had the same thing happen actually. Seems like it happens when I pull complex objects from my favourites and place on the driving line.. I could be wrong.

    Basically everything that moved, won't anymore... Ope cards detach from the target object, custom camera disconnect, basically the even cards detach and you have to go back and reattach it all. Very, very annoying malfunction.

    No bud was in a normal trials track.

    Sorry i should of said , i am on ps4 and what i mean is all event that have physics involved , like the movement of a door opening using ope and the trigger of the physics event not actuall working. All things that was wactivated by somekind of movment just didnt work. The doors didnt open , the physics never game on the objects so they could move. It was like everything with physics or movment was dead like it had ran out of batteries lol. Although if effects like fire was already switched on they still worked. Also it wasn that it was stopping me from saving it but more the choice of not wanting to save a corrupt track over a working progression and then being left with a corrupt save of some sorts. I never thought of saving this seperately for some dum reason , my bad but still the issue wasnt correcting its self.

    i hope tis is more clear sorry i dont know how to explain it much clearer.

    Just noticed this bud and come to think of it it was just after i had pulled a custom windmill i had created from within fvourites so maye its the same problem.

    yeah i am speaking to swampballs direct about the problem which isnt the same but it is looking like its part of one big problem thats bugged within favourites. Thank you anyway for your efforts and help dude much appreciated

    I'm almost positive the problem occurs when pulling out a custom object from saved favorites.

    All events detach from their targets. So say an ope with x and y linear data sources, it will stay together as a function set, but the event detaches from the target object. Camera event detaches from chosen custom camera, ope detaches from target object, driving line events detach from the driving line tiles. All "events" detach from their "targets"

    State events as well. It took forever to figure it out, it was driving me nuts! It isn't constant either, sometimes you pull a custom favorite, and it's fine, other times, all events detach.

    Never noticed anything like this, but I'll take a looksie and try to find what's the problem, though it's like finding a needle in a haystack with current information.
