    Liberating Outposts Undetected

    Dear Honey Badger slaughterers,

    I'm having a bit of an issue with the capturing of outposts using stealth. I have taken several outposts either using a bow and arrow, purely by creeping up behind people and taking them down, or by a combination of the two, several times I have done this without being detected at all and without triggering any alarms. However, it is not registering that I have done so in the 'Skills' window and is therefore not unlocking the 'Soft Landing' skill (bottom row, second from the left).

    Any idea? Am I missing something obvious here?

    Did any dogs see you? They count towards detection factor.

    No dogs saw me either. However, I think I have found the answer:

    I didn't bother trying to do it stealthily on the main run through the game, now all the outposts are captured and I'm re-doing the outposts stealthily trying to unlock this perk. However, it is only on the main run through when successful stealth captures count towards this perk. Damn annoying!

    One answered question though is this: you can reset all the outposts to uncaptured in the Options>General menu (you have to be actually in game for the menu option to appear). I don't yet know if outposts captured after a reset count towards the perk.

    At the point where you captured ALL outposts and ALL fortresses you can reset them and recapture them . If iam correct i remember people reporting that they didenīt managed to capture any outpost or fortress undetected in their first playthrough the game and when they reset all to get undetected ones for soft landing skill it doesent worked and you basicall had to restart the game and get the particular number of outposts you needed for this skill before its to late .

    Yes, I've read that too. Thanks Clockner. It's a bug really I think, you really should be able to pick up any missing perks after the game completion by re-doing outposts. Nevermind though, I loved the game!

    Yeah itīs kinda bad made . You should be able to archieve the skill when you got the outposts liberated undetected if you havent had skilled it yet no matter when in the game .

    If you mean via Outpost Master, it won't work that way. Outpost Master only tallies a score for headshots, explosive kills, takedowns, etc. That's all it's good for. Try resetting the outposts as mentioned.

    Honestly though, I don't know how anyone could stand not going for 2 undetected outposts as soon as possible in the campaign, because it's extremely easy to do with the first two nearby outposts just by letting the elephants take them over, and you can't get the Non Stop skill without it.

    Crouched movement without Non Stop is painfully slow, as is running continuously.

    Thanks for the replies guys. Does anyone actually *know* if resetting the outposts via the menus actually works for this, or is it just something to try?

    Pretty sure it works for it. Resetting means restoring them to their original state, where any interaction with them applies the same way, including registered stats.

    Agreeing . Thats the first thing i wanna skill when the open world becomes aviable after i liberated the first outpost to get the always run and the faster crouch movement since the default crouch movement is a real pain in the back .

    As i said , i canīt confirm this , but i think i remember people who didenīt liberated a single outpost / fortress undetected saying that they canīt get the skills afterwards if they reset them and do it again ( not outpost master ) . Hard to imagine tho ....
