That's utter horseballs. Codes that were totally valid for weeks suddenly become invalid at the flick of a switch because someone at Ubisoft didn't want people buying the game without things like Australia Tax applied. Sort your crap out. This isn't the fault of the people who bought the game (see the word BOUGHT there...). Ubisoft made their money selling the codes in the first place. If they were invalid codes then they wouldn't have unlocked in the first place.Originally Posted by xMiiSTY Go to original post
Instead of overcharging for your products, then blaming the playerbase when your games are released buggy as hell and subsequently get poor scores, how about making a game that has some Quality Control and doesn't get a 30% Tax just for living in Australia. I'd like to say I was surprised, but I'm not. The last 6-7 years of Ubisoft has been painful to watch and deal with.

If you purchased codes from a non official reseller - such as G2A - codes sold there are not supplied to them by Ubisoft directly, so you need to contact the retailer and ask for a refund.
So if someone purchases a code from Ubisoft directly, then sells it on to another party who then sells it one to someone else Ubisoft bans the code? Please don't make me laugh so much...Originally Posted by Mr_Shade Go to original post
Codes purchased by individuals are not sold for resale and to be honest, if purchased from Ubisoft directly it would be the same price as other retailers or directly from Ubisoft? - unless that person intends to make a loss..?Originally Posted by Trixxes Go to original post
If you purchase a code from an unofficial reseller - be that an individual or website [or sellers on websites] - then you need to speak to them - regarding refunds.
If you want to be 100% sure of the origin of the game - and be sure of the key, buy from an official retailer.
Still doesn't make what Ubisoft has done in this case right. I've never had a bad key from other sources as I'm certainly never going to pay $120 AUD for a game plus season pass. It's a bloody rip off as it's a higher price for Australians than anywhere else. Then Ubisoft claims the gamers are the thieves?? Pull the other one. Just look at the release of Unity, the release of Black Flag, Settlers 7, Watchdogs, The Crew...Originally Posted by Mr_Shade Go to original post
EVERY SINGLE ONE was screwed on launch and the support dropped 2 minutes after Ubisoft had run off with the cash.
Oh and the keys had to come from somewhere. If they didn't come from Ubisoft then WHERE THE HELL DID THEY COME FROM? Uplay can't redeem illegal keys, which means they were legal.
It's no wonder people pirate Ubisoft games when legally purchased ones are more likely to not work or even get totally removed from the Uplay "service". That's service with a capital BAT TO THE BALLS.
Seeing as you are paid by Ubisoft I doubt you have an unbiased opinion anyway.
