Looks like the main problem has to do with the lack of transparency... note how every pixel of the shattered glass "effect" is fully opaque white.
When setting the sensitivity curves for any stick, I highly recommend at least working initially with the final value at 100, and fiddle with the "slope" of the curve leading up to it. I say this...
