Discussion of game ending (SPOILER ALERT-Don't read if you haven't finished the game)
I've read about people referring to 2 endings in the game - a good ending and a bad ending (depending on whether you shoot Pagan Min or not). If you shoot Pagan Min the game ends abruptly without you getting any information about your character, Ajay Ghale's, history or what happened with his parents. That's considered the "bad" ending. If you spare Pagan Min, he tells you what happened between your parents and that's the "good" ending.
I just wanted to be clear about what happened with the parents. Is it true that Ajay's mother was sent by his father to spy on their sworn enemy Pagan Min but instead of spying on him, she had sex with him, fell in love with him, and had a kid with him? Ajay's father gets extremely angry, kills the child she had with Pagan Min, and then the mother kills the father in revenge? If that's the case, then in real life would that really be considered a "good" ending to know all that? I'm not sure if I would want to know my mother was a hore or that my father was a great leader/warrior that got humiliated, cuckolded, and ultimately killed by his wife.
If you collected all of the father's journal entries, you'd know that it took a long time & effort to get them. You worked hard to find them in order to figure out his thoughts & what happened to him. And this is what you get? I kinda wish we could actually read what those journal entries had on them so we could get a feel for what the father was thinking. We did see a little bit of the mother's thoughts in her letters but I wish we saw more of what she was thinking too. I can't say I'd think highly of any woman who'd go for such a character as Pagan Min but maybe she had her reasons.
So it's good to know what happened but in real life would you really want to know all that about your parents? Would it have been better to just shoot Pagan Min and live life without knowing?
