Same issue as before the patch, have to alt-tab to get through menus and missions with the controller connected. Game works fine without, but the main thing the patch meant to fix it didn't.

Same here. Controller breaks game, cut scene's won't load and game will not progress unless unplug controller or alt tab. Updated all drivers and PC is well above requirements. Someone please help!!!!!!! Can't play my game and its been a week since I have owned it! WTH
Guess I can't play the game I bought with my preferred interface. I guess it's hard to make a game like Street Fighter 4 or Fallout NV or Battleblock Theater or Deus Ex HR or practically any indie game of the past 4 years or just any fighting or platforming game since the release of the 360 period that lets you use a controller without crashing the game and rendering it unplayable. It must be so hard for a game with a paltry idk $30 million budget to properly test something that a huge percentage of their players will use.
Try running the game at a lower refresh rate like 24 hz. It worked for my wireless xbox 360 controller. I did a thread on this but uplay did not post it for some reason. Before dropped to 24 hz the game was unplayable. Broken spawns, cutscenes not working, floating people. I could walk up to animals and they would not even see me. I'm running everything on Ultra with a SC 970. Let me know if this helps anyone else.
