Thanks for posting the link, I had a quick read - it is the Fortress takeover Demo by the siound of things, could even be an old build now compared to the finished product.
Sprinting is forever yep. Driving is much better than Far Cry 3, vehicles are literally littered everywhere especially those 3 wheelers. You also get a grappling hook which is ****ing awesome and makes the game a lot better and a small helicopter rotor thing which is pretty awesome but goes down in three or four shots.
That's the bit I thought worth posting.
Yeah, I agree Champ. That's a good point.
GOD I hope that Helicopter is in Multiplayer. I have long hoped to have air vehicles on some of my maps.
If helicopters are in MP, it would now be worth making huge battlefield (conquest) style maps. i would never have helicopters in small to medium sized maps though. i can picture people making nuketown with helicopters, people hovering above the enemy spawn points, a spawn trapping nightmare lol.
The only concern I have is if a large percentage of the items in the editor are like those in FC3 which pop in and out of view, a large map could look ugly and more so from height, I remember a map on Xbox 360 by DeanTheBean it was very nicely made and would have been excellent if it wasn't for the structure constantly appearing and disappearing, that bad it was unplayable on the eyes unfortunately.
If the guy is right in what he says then the buzzer's life will be short lived, they appear clumsy to drive and 3 or 4 hits and they are down, I am glad they made them that way otherwise they would be too powerful, also thinking outside the box a buzzer could be useful in a vertical styled map by gaining an advantage to get to objectives in MP say capturing an area, if it takes players longer to get to a specific area because of the height, the copter could get up quicker so it could have some advantages and possibly work in smaller maps if the map is crafted correctly.
This AMA made me excited for the coop and the campaign! I've been 100% focused on the map editor and the multiplayer all along, but Far Cry really has one of the best campaigns among the shooters when you think about it. It's gonna be cool to roam the land in coop =P
