hi use the camera event to switch to your custom cam, then change the interpolation amount -100 strong interpolation to cam, +100 strong interpolation from cam (i believe) and adjust the speed, the from camera will also have interpolation settings, these will affect the transition as well, and if your transitioning from the main blue camera you may need to use data sources to change the settings when your sequence is turned on.
you may not need to fiddle with the main camera interpolation but if you do, to add data sources to the main camera, under the advance camera properties, tie the interpolation settings to variable data sources that are set to the same value as was there originally then use set value events to dynamically change these when required.
hope this helps
I tried this last time.
but i linked it to the end post trigger, is the correct?
just done a quick test and the camera event worked, i found i had to turn the custom camera distance down to 0.1 as it started interpolating when the main camera was in range and also change it to cut as it was doing some bizarre interpolating, but this maybe down to the interpolation settings.
Okay thanks, did you link it to the end post trigger?
is this the same with animation?
If I make an ending camera I usually trigger it on the finish checkpoint to prevent ending playing if you crash before finish somehow.
And use impulse delays/splitters when needed, to make a timed sequence of actions that can include Cameras/OPE/Physics/Lights/Sounds and more.
If the custom camera is far away or in a highly different angle I usually use camera Cut (or Cut&Interpolate if it follows rider)
But if its midway a track gotta be a lot more careful and I almost never use Cut unless it's a crash camera.
You can play around with a lot of settings like making the camera follow rider, or changing the camera settings with data sources to create extra effect (FOV like zoom, or color/blur changes, or fade to black) as long as it's part of a chain of events on an ending/crash cam.
