There is one slightly odd and possibly worrying thing here, and that is the fact that this information only came out from being directly asked. Bear with me here :)
In the run up to Farcry 3, we found out there would be no vehicles in MP, and there was a huge outcry from the fanbase, post-release, we had the lobby system taking over as our No. 1 worry, but still the disappointment was tangible from the fans about the loss of vehicles.
Now if the return of vehicles was a result of Ubi listening to us, why wait until being directly asked before releasing this information? Why sit on it when their own forums have seen this question being asked many times? This wasn't a carefully managed stage presented tidbit waiting to be released for maximum effect, it was an answer in a sideshow interview, if the question hadn't been asked, would it have been volunteered?
It just seems crazy that such a high priority complaint about the last iteration should be addressed in this manner, it leads me to wonder whether this was as a responce to fans, or whether it just seems that way.
Whichever it is, of course it means that in the end we get our beloved vehicles back, but if it's pure coinicidence and Ubi aren't actually listening, then where do we stand on the lobby system?
Have they already cracked this issue too but simply not told us as the question wasn't asked? Do they even have any intention of changing the dreadful lobby system form FC3? To my knowledge they have never directly responded to the lobby issue, so in their minds it could be A-OK.
Much as I hated the 'no vehicle' decision in 3, by far the more important issue was the poor lobby system, I really wish they'd asked about that instead, maybe then we would have got an answer, right now it seems that although Ubi will listen when there's a mic and camera, they're not listening to us that keep making return visits to the forums.
