Hi,
I want to know how fire spread will work in Far Cry 4?
In FC2 it was excellent and very funny in multiplayers, but in FC3 it was ridiculous. The fire spread for 2 cm and that was all. I really want realistic fire this time.
thank you

I'm sure we'll see more information on this closer to release. :)
That man again said in his gameinformer podcast that fire is back and I believe he said so is the flame thrower and fire arrows - We don't know if the fire will spread as good as it did in FC2 (that was a super effect) but at least it's in there.:)
It's understandable that Far Cry 2's fire would spread more as the game was based on a dry land, fire spreads like crazy in places like Africa, where as in a tropical environment, humidity is the big thing that restricts fire from spreading too much
I wouldn't expect much more than what Far Cry 3 had to be honest, maybe in some areas but not all
The flamethrower is my favorite weapon for multiplayer. nothing like turning a corner and WOOOOSH! your up in flames, lol! I also liked trapping other players in FC2 with the raging bush fire.
Good point.
FC3 fire spread feature wasn't as half as good as it was in FC2, but considering this is an island in the middle of nowhere, I believe that place is filled with moisture. Therefore, it's very hard to for fire to keep up, not to mention African temperature, which enhances the heat.
And lack of strong wind restricts it somewhat. Africa not only has tall, dry crabgrass, but also open plains where there's steady wind.
That said, I want the fire propagation back damn it! I struggled with it performance wise on the rig I had when FC2 came out, and now that I have one that can easily handle it, bring it on baby!
Keep in mind this is a fictional world with many things that are a stretch anyway. Lots of these animals don't seem indigenous to high altitude regions for instance.
I would like to add that in FC3 singleplayer it's better than multiplayers.
The flare gun and flamethrower are useless :(
While the fire looked much better in FC3, FC2 was much more of a spread. Id bet it boiled down to the graphical intensity of FC3 and the lack of power the last gen consoles had. Even in FC2, once the fire spread to a certain point, the game lagged down to an almost unplayable point in MP....was still super fun though.
