Problem I have with Online Multiplayer
Okay, here's the thing I never play any Trials game after the very first one debuted on Xbox 360 and I never played any Online Multiplayer mode. But I bought Trial Fusion on PS4 and have played the local multiplayer. My first thought was..okay...cool ....4 players racing on the same screen...but I didn't like the fact that the camera have to zoom out and see the entire field...you kind of lost the experience of being close up and personal. Now, i recognize that this is good for local because you can't possibly have 4 split screens with each racer having their own close up screen...the small split screens will probably defeat the enjoyment and beauty of the game.
But then I watch the other game like Trial Evo online multiplayer and they STILL do the game thing with the camera zooming out to see all the players. THIS IS ONLINE MULTIPLAYER, not LOCAL MULTIPLAYER. Why are they doing this?? The experience will never be the same if you don't follow the same experience of the single player view. Then i start thinking...how are they going to implement this? I look at other racing games such as car racing game online and they all have one thing in common...all users are racing on the same narrow track!! That's why a player can have their own camera view and their own experience of driving not having to zoom out to see all the players. The problem with Trial Fusion is that they need to fit all the players into a narrow track instead of expanding to have user their own track path. I prefer a single narrow track (perhaps a little bigger than the single player track) that fits the entire users (4 users) and have them line up even shoulder to shoulder next to each other (even if it means being unrealistic close to each other) than to have each user their own track (w/ cam zooming out) which defeat the experience of Trials.
I hope this is what the developers is striving for and it is the reason for the delay. Otherwise, i don't know what else to say.
