May well be rumour, any comments please?
[Not surprised if this is true, many many games going this way since release of the two machines. Shame on MS for skimping on components]

Would not be surprised at all if this is true. No matter what people say, the XB1 got significantly less power than the PS4. 900p also makes sense compared to 1080p when you look at the difference in performance between them.
It will be very likely that you won't be able to tell the difference.
I agree the difference will be minimal, but there will likely still be one if you know what to look for.
I also agree with the design choice by RL (if it's true) to drop the resolution to maintain framerate...vital for Trials.
Hey Kal, very sensible response. I agree the difference is pretty minimal in most cases but was also angry enough with MS and the decisions the made recently to switch to PS4 for all but the XB1 exclusives. Shame on them for i) skimping on parts on XB1; ii) the DRM nonsense they tried to force feed me.
Lucky for me I did pick up an XB1 for the exclusives, and of course for all those X360 builders who did stick with MS.
Look forward to seeing what you build on XB1 buddy :)
I can confirm the rendering resolution difference between the next generation consoles. However in our case, the difference between the next generation platforms is very small. We are running exactly the same shaders/effects without any difference in quality on both platforms. Antialiasing and texture filtering quality is also identical. Neither console has any advantage in frame rate (vsync locked 60 fps on both). Xbox 360 is also vsync locked 60 fps. All three are butter smooth and offer the same high quality Trials game play.
I have been playing the game myself on an Ultrabook (ultra lightweight laptop). The recent PC beta patch improved the frame rate on low end GPUs by 40%, and this means that my laptop now runs the game at locked 60 fps (1600x900 resolution, "Normal" settings). We are trying to scale the PC version hardware requirements even lower in future patches to allow more people to enjoy the game the way it's supposed to be enjoyed (at vsync locked 60 fps). Rest assured that we care about all these four platforms and continue to support all of them for a long time.
And it looks awesome anyway ;) As I'm not a graphic guy I can't spot any difference between PS4 and XBone and haven't even thought there is any.
I've gotta say nearly every concern I've had over Fusion has been put to rest recently. I know the 360 is the baby of the bunch and I have no doubt it will look at least as good as Evo and that's fine for me.
At this point it's just the cross platform lb's and TC that are still up in the air. Some information on this would be so much appreciated. A lot of us have speculated on the feasibility of it but at this point I fear we've built ourselves up with unrealistic hopes. Some clarity before launch would be extremely helpful if it's possible :)
