Forum Updates: New Forum Theme
Hello all,
As the forums are updated and worked on by the hard working people at both RedLynx and Ubisoft, There are features that didn't quite make it to the initial forum migration, but we are striving to restore those functions for you, the Trials Community.
Update #1: Access to your previous RedLynx Forum private messages. As of right now, there is still a redirect in place that will bring you back to the new forums after signing in, but you should have enough time to click on the Private Messages link. We will work on the redirect to give players more time to access their private messages. Currently you can log in to the Read-Only RedLynx Forum and you will have access to your previous PMs. This is limited availability and the forums will not stay up indefinitely. If you have information stored in PMs, please access and copy it out as soon as possible.
Update #2: Webchat. There has been a fairly vocal response that you miss webchat. We miss it too. But there is good news, you can still access the RedLynx Web Chat. We are working on better implementation than a single link in a sticky thread, but we wanted everyone to know that Web Chat is BACK!
Update #3: Some of us have a lot of history in the form of posts that are not reflected on the new forums. We are working to update post counts, and the current time frame would have them updated by end of day. For your posts to be reflected in your new forum post count, you will need to make sure that your account is linked. Unlinked accounts will NOT have their post count updated today.
Update #4: There were some missing threads after the forum migration. The affected threads were all older sticky topics, and they should all now be restored and accessible.
Update #5: Allowing migrated users to set their forum screen names to their old RedLynx forums screen name. We want our long time community members to keep their sense of history. As such, we are currently testing the use of PedLynx Forums screen names on the new forums. These screen names will ONLY be available to users who were members of the forum pre-migration, and add to the history in a "Hey, you were there with us" sense.
Post 24 gives the steps to use the Screen Name change feature.
Update #6: Forum theme, we are in the process of making thematic changes to the forum. A new, darker, forum theme is being implemented, as well as forum status icons that have a bit more meaning for users. As these changes impact each post in every thread, please be patient as we get everything working together as intended.
Update #7: The RedLynx section of the forums is now directly linked from the Ubisoft Forum frontpage. When you log in, if you are not redirected automatically, you can now click on the RedLynx banner.
